"This product does not do anything close to what it should. Could be the style of my boat keeps it from working right. I wish I could have returned it.

"Poor design, Cheap materials used in construction of this product. I was only able use this product one time. The hook became lodged between the boats eye bolt and the winch strap. I would NOT recommend this product at all."

"thought it would come in handy on those days when you need just 1 or 2 more feet to get the boat up close to the winch those windy days or when theres a little more currant then one would like......i tried it, i purpusely stopped the boat short to try this gadet at the lake where there was NO WIND and NO CURRENT and it did not work. the winch strap hook would not stay in the captain hook holder no matter how i held it or how gentle i was it would fall out.....let alone tring to snap it to the eyelit of the boat....it was the joke of the day on the drive home.......thank goodness we caught fish that day."

"the plastic hook is so big that it keep you from being able to put it throuth a std attachment therefor it's useless. unless you modifie the hook or the normal attachement . at that price you would expect something that is working right out of the box."

"kinda disappointed with this unit- doesn't hold the hook as tight as needed and the handle is too flexible when fully extended to actually latch the hook on the bow ring of the boat- still have to get wet when hooking up my boat and now I'm out the cash, too!"

"Overall, the product concept is good and it seems to be well made. The plastic hook holder could be a little stouter. Oh yeah, the hook on my winch strap is about 10% larger than what the Captain Hook can handle. My winch is very heavy duty as it is used to winch up my 27' Sea Ray. Wish they had a bigger Hook holder..."

"The idea is great - you have to be a little careful in handling it. Sometimes when you insert the hook into the handle it falls out or does not snap onto the hook of the boat. It takes a little while to develop a knack for using it."

"Getting past the spare tire to hook up to my bow eye under the bow pulpit was a hassle. Captain Hook eliminates the need to "walk the plank" (especially useful on steep ramps)."
