"other than that, my husband loved it. It kept him from getting up in the night and leaving the tent, which is always unpleasant. And I bought the female attachment, and neither of us had to go outside anymore during the night! Its a very great thing indeed and highly recommend it."

"I don't recognize the Little John from the other reviews. Here's my experience. I took LJ out of the box and immediately noticed it seems very flimsy (and was smaller than I'd expected). I tested it by filling it with warm (urine temp) tap water, making sure the lid was on tight (more on that below) and that the exterior was dry, then holding it upside down. It dripped. Not fast, but it dripped. How much dripping is too much? Yeah, that question answers itself, doesn't it?
As I said, it's thin, flimsy plastic. You know how if you screw the plastic lid of some milk jugs too tight, it jumps the threads and becomes loose again? Little John does that too. Not quality you want to rely on when it's full of urine and you're sleeping next to it, or even if it's outside your tent door! Pass on this!"

"I purchase this Little John portable urinal for an elderly male family member a few weeks ago.
He says it works great.
(The one he used to have from the drug store had sharp edges and was hurting him, which is why I went searching on the internet. Wouldn't you think that ALL products of this type would be manufactured without sharp edges?)

"This little portable potty is pretty good.
Cap screws on tight, meaning no leaks at all.
Color is good: You won't misplace the fire engine red container.
I would prefer the opening a bit wider, but don't worry, there are no sharp edges to threaten injury to anything.
Capacity is about average. The urinals at the hospital hold more, which I think is a better idea, since you can go twice in the same container when you are out in a treestand without looking for somewhere to empty it. But the hospital urinals don't have a secure cap and are leaky. So the Little John gets the nod.
Price is good. Not overly expensive and reasonably well made.
Overall, I gave this item 4 stars. It does what it was designed to do and does it well. Only real drawback is the capacity. You can do your business once, then you have to empty it. I would buy two if I were going to spend all day in a stand.

"What is there to say, it doesn't leak, and works great. I use this at our cabin at night so I don't have to go out to the outhouse in the cold. Dump it out first thing in the morning and give it a rinse."

"Haven't used it yet, but a friend had one when we fished in Canada last year. It was convenient not to have to stand over the side of the boat or head for shore when nature called. Small enough to put in the tackle bag and sturdy enough to last several seasons. At my age I wouldn't be without one."

"This product is a must. Used it this summer while camping in Algonquin Park. It sure was nice to stay inside the tent on those cool and damp August nights. I also ordered the Lady J adaptor but my wife realized that she coudn't use it because the Little John was already full from my use. I will therefore order another Little John. I also purchased one for my dad and he loves it. I'm sure this will come in handy while stuck in traffic some day and also in the boat while fishing. The product is solid and the cap screws on tight so there is no leaking. I'm impressed."

"this product is amazing! ive used this on many road trips. I only have one complaint that i can use it about 15 times before i have to dump it out. and also make sure the lid is on tight to prevent sloshing and spilling all over your kids."

"I have used the product on two trips and love having it in the middle of the night. I purchased the adaptor for my wife to be able to use it as well and she loves it two. Easy to use and store during the night to avoid a spill. I highly recommend for any backpacker."

"I use this for my young daughter (with the female adapter) and it has worked wonderfully. However, I wish they would have attached the cap with some sort of tether to the bottle. It would be more convenient, instead of worrying I'll lose the cap."

"I have had one of these for years and wouldn't leave home without it. On those early AM calls when you are in the tent and you don't want to get out of your warm sleeping bag to go out into the cold, this is just the thing. It is also handy in the boat."

"This is exactly what I needed. Being a woman and going to the bathroom a lot at night, I needed something I can use in the tent so I don't have to go to the outhouse.
