"I have purchased several Lowrance products and will not be buying any more. My transducer was three years old when it failed tried to get technical support by phone then by internet after 30 minutes on the phone waiting and three weeks on the net I recieved no help."

"I bought an extra transducer to use on another fourteen foot boat. Our River Runner- Anyway this transducer works well in deep water as well. The clarity and bottom of the lake are gonna effect things but i have even picked out cats in the deepest darkest holes of the Red Lake River and The Red River not to mention the details you get when going over a downed tree or brush pile. Point being that you dont need to spend the extra money on a dual frequency unless you plan on going out onto the ocean or on the sea. In that case by a diffrent dept finder. I use the lowrance x 510c and ive picked up archs in well over 60 feet of water. It is plenty sensitive and does the trick for any fisherman pro or just your average angler. My dads freind is a heck of a fisherman and he picks up plenty of walley and trout with his old x96. Anway, what ever happened to relying on your gut instinct and just depth. Great product i recommend it to any one."

"I searcher all over the web looking for the best deal on this transuducer, other sites may have had it for a few bucks less but none of them had them in stock. Because of my messing around hunting for the best deal, it took an extra three weeks to before I got my boat ready to fish again. Next time I'll just get my parts from Cabelas first off."

"Lowrance's single frequency transducer is fine for relatively shallow water fishing. If you need to see fish or plankton layers deeper than 30 or 40 feet, spend a little more for the dual frequency transducer which is much more sensitive."

"For the first time of installing a transducer on the rear of my boat (a new LUND) It worked the first time. While I am crusing down the lake at 35-40MPH I can read the bottom making sure I don't run aground. I use it in combination with my fantastic Lowrance 522C Sonar/GPS unit. I love the feedback and performance of it and strongly suggest buying the Lowrance products."
