Dump the built-in transducer,September 19, 2009

"I have a Motorguide trolling motor with the built-in transducer and could never get good clarity or see the fish and structure properly. I recently learned that these built-in aren't made for any one manufacture and therefore you miss the benefits.
Once I used this with my Lowrance unit I was able to see everything I've been missing. The picture on my bow unit now shows the clarity of the console unit. Great upgrade!"

"Transducer was easy to install onto my Moterguide Tour 109. It does not come with a pipe clamp but you can get one at a hardware store. Picture is clear and temp works great on Lowrance X-125. I purchased this transducer to replace the shoot through one that came with my boat because the temp was inaccurate and the transducer was mounted in the middle of the boat so the picture on the graph was behind me. With this transducer mounted on the trolling motor the picture on the graph is underneath you."
