"So far, I am very satisfied with it. I read the other reviews, and a few people said their's rusted. If it is truly a 304 stainless steel, it shouldn't. I have had mine on my SUV for only a few weeks, and there is no rust yet."

"This "stainless" 1.25" ball mount for receiver hitches did not fit my Ford factory receiver. It would only insert about 1 inch before wedging itself to the point I could barely pull it out. I literally had to take a hammer to the four squared off edges to round them off somewhat before it would fit properly into the receiver.
I kept the ball mount attached on my vehicle for a week and the "stainless steel" ball mount was covered with surface rust that I've been unable to fully remove despite lots of polishing with rust remover. A lot of money for a poor product!!"

"the stainless steel tow bar worked out very well on my Explorer. I have had problems on past vehicles with tow bars freezing into the receivers due to corrostion. This bar also does not pose the problem of getting you hands or storage compartment stained from the rust. I liked it enough that this was the second one I purchased."

"This is a great item!! Stainless steel means no rust and looks really great on my Ford Excursion. I also purchased the matching stainless steel ball and the keyed alike two piece lock set for the receiver and the trailer. Everyone that sees this setup comments on how shiny it is and how good it looks. I am very pleased with this purchase."
