This gun is the American classic of pellet rifles. American Hardwood stock gives this rifle the heft and
balance of a full sized firearm, and the classic lines make any shooter proud to own it. In addition to
being good looking, this gun is accurate and powerful. Each pump generates roughly 80 fps, to a
maximum of 700 fps. The .20 caliber bore diameter is often overlooked, but plenty of pneumatic
connoisseurs will argue that it is the best combination of flat trajectory and energy. Blued barrel.
Weight: 6 lbs. Length: 36-1/2".

Blue Streak,July 12, 2009
By wardufrom Williamston NC
"I've had mine for about six months and it is very accurate and you have plenty of punch for birds and small game. It was a little hard for me to sight it in it kept shooting to the right and high but anyway I've killed a good number of starlins and a opossum. With the opossum the gun surprised me it was in my sons rabbit box when he let it out I shot in the stomach hoping it would run off and die it walked about 15 ft and fell over. Very good gun it's not that hard to pump if you shoot it awhile you'll get used to it."

Old School Awesome with some limitations,January 12, 2009
By Ed321from Illinois
"The Benjamin Sheridan models fall into the category of older, but good enough to get the job done. I put it into the same category as the lever action rifle and single action revolver. Yes, there is better, but it works and the nostalgia is fun. I grew up shooting my Grandpa's and now own 2 newer models.
Pros: * Hits hard and accurate. This gun will take small game out to 40 yards, probably farther, but I mainly use the add on peep site which limits this. Still very accurate. Better than I can shoot. * Flexible. A point that most miss is that you don't have to pump it 8 times every time. For plinking, I just pump 2-4 times. Note: yes, point of impact can change. * Pumps hard. Yes, also a con, but kids just can't pump this and that can be a good thing. * Weather resistant. Brass does not rust. * Fairly nice wood stock and good fit and finish. * Crosman has excellent customer service.
Cons: * Pumping can tiring when you want to shoot a lot. * Illinois labels this as a firearm because of the power and caliber. Not the gun's fault, but worth mentioning. * Not scope friendly. The scope is where you want to hold onto the rifle when you pump. At Crosman.com, you can buy a neat peep site that bolts to the receiver and helps A LOT. Or I mounted a pistol scope forward on the barrel of one, but that messes up the lines. * Trigger could be lighter, better. Probabily a liability thing."

New Benjamin Pump,January 5, 2009
By Tom31from Albuquerque
"The air rifle is nicely made and easily operated and just as I expected except for one attribute. I never had a Benjamin before but used to use my cousin's back in my youth -- that's about 60 years ago, young'un. Anyway, one of the ineresting things about my cousin's Benjamin back then was it's almost total silence when firing. That was a good attribute when shooting varmits since it didn't scare away all the other wild life when one shot at an undesireable target. This new one sounds louder than than the old BB guns -- too loud. Scares away any wild life anywhere around. My question is: did Benjamin make their air rifles so LOUD to "please" their customers OR did they change the design somehow that caused the air rifle to be so bloody LOUD?? Other than that, it is a good air rifle."

Benjamin Air Rifle,August 28, 2008
By klengfrom Rittman, Ohio
"Just a little feed back to say that this is a great air rifle. As I had read in the prior reviews some people think this rifle is a littel hard to pump. It is stiff to pump, up but the results are worth it. Not to metion the fact that there is a better chance a small kid could not accidently use this rifle because it would be to hard for them to pump up. I think this is a great rifle and it has since solved my varment problem."

great gun,May 10, 2008
By bjg3
"I bought my Sheridan Blue Streak in 1977 and it is still going strong, and it will still shoot through a 3/4 inch piece of plywood at 15 paces. I've used it to hunt everything from pigeons to rabbits and I allways had good clean kills on rabbits with head shots. My brother in law liked mine so much he bought one of his own."

My old blue streak,March 20, 2008
By Jop91from N. Royalton, OH
"As a child my dad purchased a benjamin sheridan blue streak, i think it was around 1978? well anyways he kept it and gave it to me when i turned 13. It still worked perfectly despite its old age it has never failed me up until today- March 22 2008. I'm guessing about 11,000 rounds were shot through it. I would recomend this gun for anyone looking for a little fun. R.I.P. BlueStreak"

Great Gun,February 7, 2007
By riverrat7265from Brookston, IN
"My grandpa gave me a Sheridan over 20 years ago. it was called a 5mm then, and not a .20CAL (same thing) Im not sure how old it is but its been a great gun. It shoots hard and straight just like the day my grandpa gave it to me. I bought my son a beeman 1000FPS and its nice but my sheridan shoots harder and straighter and just as far. Im thinking about buying another one so I can cherish the one I have."

These things are great,December 29, 2006
By TheGympfrom Denver, CO
"I have had mine for 19 years and it sill works great. You just can hurt these rifles. (Just dont leave the rifle pumped up for 6 months or you have to replace some seals.) And they are exceptionally accurate with the open sights. They are a little difficult for young kids to pump. And scopes make pumping them up even tougher. But overall this is a great little gun for backyard safari."
