"Thia type reel is not politicall correct in elite fly fishing camps, but to me it makes a lot more sense than having line all around ones feet!! It has worked good in Okla-Colorado & Alaska!!"

"Bought this reel to replace one given to me on my 13th birthday (1963) I was so used to using an automatic that my newer crank type gave me problems on the stream. The new one works great and has put me back into the learned routine from the 60's. Quality seems real good and the working action is identical to the old one. I would reccomend."

"Occasionally, I do like the convenience of an automatic reel and this seems to be last still in production. When the fish are small and the water is swift, it is nice to have the automatic retrieval system."

"Just what I had been looking for to replace the one my daddy bought upon returning from WW II. He gave it to me years ago before fly fishing became what it is today. And, somebody walked off with it or I have hidden it from myself. I still have the bambo fly rod. He bought the original outfit in a grocery/general store in S.W. Georgia.
This type reel beats the "heck" out of a hand crank type!"

"I use old automatic fly reels all my life, this is the worst I have ever used. I used this reel on a creek in southern PA, and had gotten three cast from the reel before it seperated from the handle. The rivets witch hold the reel body to the
part that connects to the rod fell apart, and the reel fell into the creek. Besides taking some jokes from my fishing partner
I was done for the day. What a piece of junk!!!"

"I bought these reels for my perants becuase the ones they currently had where around..20 years old. they are great reels and both my mom and dad loved them. Personally they arent my choice of reels but i am not going to bash on something just becuase it isnt my style. Both my perants love automatic reels and love the pfluegers. They are a great price especially for a fly reel. two thumbs up."
