"These nets are great. I have several for varied uses. It is important to match the use to the net i.e. size of bait and the location that you are throwing from. The lasr net I bought is small allowing me to throw from the bow of my boat. I add weight to the bottom circumference to make the net throw more easily and to make it sink faster."

"I bought the 4' nylonet version of this quickthrow net by accident (the back of the package says monofilament netting, but don't be fooled) and was very disappointed. I found the net very difficult to throw, even using the instructions. Whats worse, the first time I actually threw the net it snagged on a rock and even though I swam out to retrieve it and gently pulled it off the snag, it ripped a massive hole up the side of it. The Nylonet has no durability and I would never buy another. Thankfully, cabelas allowed me to pay the difference and exchange it for the true monofilament version, which is much lighter (especially when wet), much stronger, and so far, has been easier to throw. If you want to try the quick throw net (which is not a perfect design, as I've thrown traditional cast nets and once you get the technique down, they really aren't much harder to throw) then save yourself some grief and get the monofilament net."
