"This item will not stretch enough to fit a 20ga 1100 let alone a 12ga auto of any brand. I tried it on 4 different makes of shotguns and haven't found any thing it fits"

"I use it in conjunction with camo tape, and together I feel that I get good coverage. It fits tight on my Beretta 391, but it works. If you have double barrels, don't bother....it doesn't stretch that much."

"This product is junk. I used it on my remington Model 31 pump action shotgun and it did not hold up at all. If you were to use it on a semi-automatic shotgun, it would be okay but not for a pump. I had no problem fitting it to my gun. You must be careful when cutting because it will fray and holes will be to big and become loose."

"This sock has a narrow length at one end designed for a single barrel, which will not stretch over a double. The other end does not stretch over my gun's stock. I can't see how it would cover a whole gun, whether single or double barrel.
However if you cut off the length of sock designed for a single barrel, the rest of it will make a snug fit over the barrels and fore-end of my Browning U/O, giving good cammo on most of the gun. A bit of cammo tape on the sides of the receiver and you are in business.
For the price, I thinks it worth getting a couple of them. Its a lot better than putting tape on barrels."

"I tried this gun cover on my shotgun, a 12 gauge Mossberg 500 and I could not get the sock on the gun because it was too small. I would not recomend this to any larger gauged shotguns. It might work with a youth sized 410. Spend a little more money on a different gun cover or a camo wrap."

"It was too small for my Benelli Super Black Eagle II. I thought this would be more "stretchy" like pantyhose or a t-shirt, but it is not. There were no instructions, but I'll try to wet it and stretch it out. Very disappointing. I will probably return it when I go to Cabela's next time."

"In the Netherlands we use over and under or an side by side shotgun. After waiting over 90 days this sock was brought to my home adress. In all my enthousiasme i'll tried it on my over and under but it doesn't "fit most shotguns". And that IS the product description. So, it is a wurthless buy and i will not recommend it to any one else. Cabelas i am really disapointed!"

"I have used several of these sleeves over the last 7 years to camo my rifles from the ever cautious and wiley coyote. They work great and I use peices of old ones to cover my scope as well. So what's the beef?? All the patterns offered are way to dark for the open prairie. I would LOVE to see them come out in a sagebrush or prairie grass pattern. Best way I've found to camo a gun short of paint,(which I've also done.) but want to be one with the enviornment. PLEASE make one in prairie brush pattern?!?!"
