Great whistle and inexpesive,

"I have purchased many other whistles over the years to the point I had 3-4 different lanyards and whistles going on, only to confuse my dog. My trainer suggested I use the same whistle he uses the Roy Gonia. So I bought 3 of them and replaced my variety pack with the Roy Gonias and they work great."

"needed a whistle for field trials for my weim. this one is loud. works well. forgot to get a lanyard so remember that when u buy.
i blew it from inside the truck the other day to be funny and had the windows up, did i already say the whistle is very loud. i may retro-fit a muzzle break on it.
if you need a loud whistle. this is a loud orange whistle."

"I was told by a product specialist that if I ordered this without the pea, it would be silent. It didn't sound right, but I trusted the information. Of course, it isn't silent and it works just fine as a whistle."

"This is a great whistle. It is easy blowing and you can hit a wide range of volumes with it. I like it for training purposes where I can blow it as loud as I want or in a more public setting where I can tone it down some. The bright orange is easy to see. I have used mine most of the winter and have had no trouble with freezing. It would be nice if it came with a lanyard."

"This whistle is affective, but one must always make sure they push enough air through. Unlike some whistles that can produce more subtle sounds with less air, this whistle only produces a sharp shrill. This is the first time I've used a whistle without a pea in it, and I'm not sure if I like it, because it sounds too much like my wood duck call."
