"Unit was as advertised and seems to be built ok for the price. It was tough to mount though. Getting the screws and bolts lined up and tightened was not as easy as one would have thought! Be careful and not use too long of bolts as they can not be fed up or down though the mount holes."

"Buy these. I thought about looking at the local hardware store for a swivel base for maybe less cost - don't do it! These are very good quality, heavily coated metal, and designed for the weight. Another great product from Cabela's."

"I was not surprised that it was hard to install but had been hopeful that I was worried for nothing---to no avail---very hard to fasten swivel to boat bench seat after seat is attached to swivel---fasten the swivel first and the seat part is tough to attach to swivel---that being said it is sturday and nice, smooth, quiet swivel"

"Pretty straight forward device that works the way it should. Use hex head maching screws (or lag screws) to attach this to your boat after attaching it to the seat and everything works just fine. No bolts were included but then every boat may needs something a little different so understand a trip to the hardware store may be necessary."

"There must be a trick to installing these. It is easy to attach the seat to the swivel or the swivel to the boat but once that is done, attaching it to the other component is very difficult because of clearance between the swivel and the other surface. It was frustrating to install."

"After recieving my seat clamps, swivel bases, and seats that I had purchased, I was a bit dissapointed to learn that the swivel bases do not include the proper mounting hardware for attaching the swivels to the seat clamps. Obviously, the seats had the bolts for mounting to either the clamp, or the swivel, but I needed to make a trip to the hardware store to purchase the eight additional nuts and bolts to mount the swivel to the clamp itself. Other than that, I think the swivel bases themselves are a good product."

"This was a fantastic find for me! I did not use the four bases I bought for a boat seat, but I used them to replace the base on each of my four patio chairs that had broken. The chairs were in excellent condition and I would have to have thrown them away. The old bases had little ball bearings in them. The ones from Cabela's do not have ball bearing, but do swivel around very nicely. I searched on a well known search site for swivel seat base and up popped these bases sold through Cabela's. They fit and work perfectly. Thank you Cabela's!!"
