"The rack is fine, although a little flimsy compared to older racks i have seen. The universal mount was not all that universal, more confusing than anything. I ended up cuting a piece of angle iron and welding to the rack then drilling holes thru my original rack to mount. is seemed like a lot of the rack was sticking over the original rack with nothing to support it.I had a whole box of universal hardware left over."

"I put the rack on a 2000 Polaris 500. I had to pull off my old rail and do a little drilling to get the rack to fit. The design of the extension has a void space for a rear rail to fit through, the only problem with this is it takes away from it's load carrying ability. Putting my weight on the extension ( I weigh 180 pounds ), I could feel the rack giving way and bending. I'm going to take the mig to it and do some modifying to add strength. In short, it should work for light loads, but carrying your deer, elk out on a bumpy trail will leave you with your load on the ground."

"great product! dont bother with the hardware. I used heavy duty zip ties and am able to carry a ton of firewood, deer etc with no problem. use this instead of a trailer in tight spots where its hard to turn around....."

Great product -weak hardware,

"The product itself is great but the hardware that comes with it is weak. Make sure to attach with the heavier plates and go to your local hardware store and get some Grade 5 bolts for a better installation. For a more secure installation use locking nuts on bolts after they have passed through the threaded part of the attachment plate.
Included hardware was too short for proper installation on Yamaha 4 wheeler."

"This seems to be a well made rack and there are many mounting combinations but it is VERY difficult to match up with a new Polaris with the plastic factory rack. I would not recommend for any newer style plastic racks. Older style (thiner) or metal racks would work great for this add on rack."

"This rack is the biggest flat rack I could find. This is my second one. You can carry a lot of things in it and it is perfect for the dogs to sit or stand on while I drive. The expanding metal on the bottom started to come loose from the edges after 6 years of use on my prior atv but I was able to fix it easily."

Design Flaw,

"Rear Basket Design Flaw: After doing a custom camo paint job on the racks to match my quad I installed this unit and discovered that the only support for the whole rear portion of the rear basket is the two outer ¾” tubes. This will make the rear basket area bend or break off if any amount of weight is put on the rear rack and you do any bouncing on your quad. I welded in 4 braces on each side (8 total) to support the rear of the basket. I would have retuned the unit but it was already painted and I am going elk hunting in 4 days. If you plan on putting any weight on this basket or you’re not a metal fabricator I would recommend another brand. I really enjoyed watching my custom camo job and the underlying powder coat paint going up in a plasma cloud as I welded in the braces. Also the mounting hardware is a mystery, I made my own."

"I purchased this rack for my Honda Rancher and while I did like that it covered a larger area than most racks, thats where it stopped. After using the rack on only one day of a work detail at the camp I found the wire mesh would bend out of shape easily. Also the rear section of the rack would bend down when loaded with bags of seed and had to be pulled back into place after it was unloaded. I will be replacing this rack with another before the start of the hunting season."

"This rack has seemed to fit my needs so far. I am using it to upgrade/replace the rack of my Susuki king quad 300 which had been damaged. It fit well with some minor adjustments (IE: some slightly longer 5/16" bolts from the hardware store). Over all I think it will work good for me and I am pleased. Sure beat $350 on a new factory replacement."
