Plow works great,January 23, 2009
By SnowPlower222from ND
"Bought the plow right before Christmas and we were getting dumped on with snow in ND. We already had 20+ inches of snow and by the year end we have received like 40 some inches of snow with even more in January. We were getting snow about every 4 days. Plow worked great. Had a little trouble with some of the bolts on the '03 Grizzly, but once I got them off and installed the mounting plates, it worked great. I also bought the electric actuator for the plow lift made by Warn and that work great. I can now clear out my driveway in about 20 minutes instead of trying to shovel for 3+ hours."

Works good,January 6, 2009
By dansterfrom Wisconsin
"Plow was pretty easy to put togeather. Within the first half hour of using it, the push bars seperated from the mounting bracket (welds broke). Reinforced the replacement push bar system with extra welding and has been working excellent. Solid plow system."

By dene97
"excellent plow, very tough. tube assembly is also high quality. mounting bracket is simple enough, durable.then you get to the hardware. bent and destroyed the u-bolts holding the mount on the atv frame in one weekend. j-bolt from winch to plow same story.cant rate the plow higher than 2 if it wont stay on my quad.we'll see if purepolaris glacier system works better."

works excellent,December 23, 2008
By HermanMfrom Cedar Rapids, Iowa
"Bought the Warn county plow for my Yamaha 400 Grizzly, chose the county blade since it is a heavier gauge steel than the standard blade. Ordered from Cabelas cause the are a well known company, price was in line with most internet sellers, shipping was prompt. So far works very well moving snow turns it over and out of the way. Angling the blade is simple enough and it has enough weight to keep it on the ground. This plow was fairly easy to install. Traction without chains is adequate you can lift it slightly if your wheels spin,
Caution with a winch don't lift too high or you will pull the cable loose, a J hook bolt holds the cable to the plow and is meant to break away to prevent damage to other parts.
Removal takes just a minute to remove 2 pins and loosen the J bolt"

okay I broke it, now heres what I think.,December 17, 2008
By Anonymousfrom Muskegon, MI
"I have been using the plow for about two months now. I am very happy with it, You just need to understand that this plow is a toy, it is attached to a toy, thus this tool is a toy. It will break, you will have to repair it. Don't get me wrong, I abuse this plow thouroughly. I plow a 600 ft long gravel driveway with a yamaha wolverine 450. I plow at about 24 mph (which is flying I might add). My banks on the side of my drive are currently about 30 inches tall, up to my fenders anyway. At full speed I can throw the snow up over the banks, and about 10 feet into the woods. I should have no problems with my road closing in on me this year. Okay, it was abuse that broke the plow, and it was a 15 minute fix with a hammer and anvil. What happened, We had a thaw two days ago. I plowed slush and water for several hours, and I store my quad in an out building with no heat. The plow angles on a 6 inch bushing ( which is a nice feature) but the water between the plates froze and expanded the metal which slightly pulls the locking arm out of the slots the locks the blade into the angled position. When I plowed this morning after a great freeze ( It was 9 degrees) I was finishing up the edges and a frozen bank bent the locking mechanism up and out of the slots, cause it was only half way engaged, and freed the plow, which slammed back into my tire. My tire ripped the pin out of the plow shoe, and I had to find that too. These were simple fixes, I had everything I needed to make the repairs and I did it, I had the day off it was not a problem to do it. If I had worked all day, and it was dark, and I was being held up, my patients probably would have gotten the better of me and I would have kicked my front fender in the freezing cold and broken that too. I would recommend this plow to anyone, and I do, I even recommend buying from Cabelas, as they were 50 dollars less than the nearest online competitor. Nice, easy, safe, online transaction. Installation was a snap. I did have to do some drilling to install the plow bracket,(which was included even though others don't include it and charge another fifty dollars for it, that is where the savings was). Total install of the plow was only about an hour. I do run air tools in my garage which save time, but it was the first one I have ever done too. My plow was a little scratched up and the push tubes had a few scratches where the box it came in wore through from sliding around in a delivery truck, but each box was about 70 pounds what can you expect. Maybe it was the warehouse, but you should see my plow now, a few scratches to start out with are not that bad a deal. You do want to keep a good high gloss paint on at least the snow side of your blade, it helps to keep the snow from sticking which can easily add another hundred pounds to the weight of your plow and mashes your front springs when you lift it. I lift my plow with a winch, and I also bypassed the j-hook lifting bracket. It is a safety feature designed to keep you from bending your push tubes, or even worse the frame on your machine. I just use my hook and a shackle that came with my winch. I take my plow off regularly and the j-hook was just too slow to deal with, so I gamble every time I plow that I will pay attention and stop lifting before anything binds. You be your own judge, always err on the side of caution though. I have bound my plow before, it happens, I just got lucky. Sorry to be so long winded, I wanted to be thourough for anyone else looking for a plow, as I invested a whole week of research before I bought the warn cyclone plow. I did buy the right plow. I don't feel any other plow I have seen would have stood up to the abuse I have dealt thus far. Anyone that lives in the city, or has a small drive and no obstacles to deal with and plows easily and causiously, will have a great plow for a long time. I am a firm believer in the fact that you don't know how strong something is until its broken. Thats why I am writing now. Its a good plow period. (but I'm tougher, ha)"

Let it snow,December 1, 2008
By arrowhunter21from Linden, MI
"This my second season with the plow in Michigan. It is so much fun to plow I even do 4 other neighbors that I like on my street.
My only complaint is the J-bolt that connects the winch cable to the plow. The J-bolt is very weak and broke on my first run. It is intended to be weak to prevent damage to the plow or your machine if you put too much stress on. I bought spare j-bolts since they break too easy IMO. Now I use a simple carabiner hook from the hardware store that holds much better.
Another issue is the plate that mounts to the bottom of your ATV hangs down about 1 inch which will reduce your ground clearance. If you have a Grizzly like I do you can spare an inch, but not so for other ATVs."

Warn plow is great,November 18, 2008
By zjrick
"The product is well built with a replacable wear bar, I have pushed gravel and sand with no problem and looking forward to how well it will push snow. Installation was easy even for a beginner with the hardest part being the subframe that bolts onto the quad. This is another fine product from WARN."

Easy to install!,November 18, 2008
By Kourtfrom Maine
"I haven't gotten snow yet to test the plow, but it sure went onto my '05 Rincon 650 like a breeze. Took me less than an hour, including a bit of head scratching. Biggest piece of advice: when putting on the mounting plate, look at the end diagram FIRST! It's the clearest one for wear to put your U-Bolts. No drilling for me... just a quick, painless install for one person."

Modifications to your Quad for this plow.,November 12, 2008
By Dlconlefrom Ely, NV
"I installed this plow with it's mounting kit on a 2008 Kawasaki 750i Brute Force. The kit was for a 2005-2008. The 2008 is different than the directions given for it in the kit. The directions show a 4 and 1/8 inch but in actuality for me was 5 inches. So double check before doing any drilling that the numbers are correct.
If you have skid plates, most likely you'll be drilling. So be forewarned.
Like the plow though very much.
P.S. Be advised that the replacement skits that Cabelas carries is not for this plow. Not sure which plows the skids work on, but not on the Cyclone."

Talk about junk,April 25, 2008
By Buszzbaitfrom Montana
"I used this plow for two seasons now. I only do my driveway which is about 60 yards. This season I started to also do my neighbors. 1st year the D-Clamps that hold the skids bent. This year(08), The D-Clamps broke off. The right Skid broke off at the base and lost it. The paint peeled off of a big area on the plow. Not a happy camper. I thought Warn would be heavy duty...Not."

1 Great plow!!!,March 9, 2008
By sevensluckyfrom K-Falls,OR
"The plow works great. I have it installed on an '07 king quad and have abused the plow with the amount of snow I've moved. My neighbor was so impressed he has ordered one. There is one small problem, the J-bolt system used to attach to winch cable is very weak-but very easy fix. Would definetly recommend this plow system to anyone. GREAT PRODUCT !!!"

Warn ATV plow,February 6, 2008
By Mtnfiremanfrom Darrington, WA
"This plow works quite well with the exception of the undersize J-hook for attaching the winch cable to. It broke within the first 1/2 hour of use. I attach the winch cable hook to the mounting bracket for now till I can get something else to use, possibly drill a hole and install an eye bolt. Don't know what Warn was thinking with that small J-hook. I expected heavier duty hardware for that. I have plowed deep powder and wet snow with little effort and only using a Honda 450 Foreman. It moves through the snow with little effort. This is a great tool for the backwoods homeowner."

Plow Dog,January 3, 2008
By tabbennfrom Waterboro, ME
"Welcome to the tundra of Maine!! This thing has paid for itself by the end of December and I bought it in October. Outstanding performance with deeper snow, and stand up durability expected in a warn product. Hands down I would rather be useing this than a snow blower. Package comes with everything you need to attach it to your 4 wheeler. Installation is pretty easy other than minor drilling (only some models) through a skid plate to attach "U" bolts for bottom bracket. I use mine on a Honda Foreman 450 with a warn 3.0 winch which complements the blade nicely. You may need a few runs at real big drifts but it will free your driveway after the city plow boxes you in. My only complaint is my factory tires that spin in some cases as the blade swallows large amounts of snow. If you have a 4 wheeler this product is a no brainer for snow removal."

"I can say I am very much impressed with my Cyclone Plow and system- The problem for me is I will have to modify the hook up on the plow for the winch hook that lifts the plow."
