"It's cost efficient and easy to use. Like other reviews, small propane tanks need to be chilled to get a full fill. Used it during the Memorial Day weekend and other friends have purchased it or will be purchasing it for the next camping trip. Highly recommeded! I wish I purchased this a long time ago."

"I bought this so I didn't waste the propane in a 30 lb bottle. You have to turn the big bottle upside down to have this work and that process is more than a little tricky with a full 30 lb bottle. Plus you have to have a ton of the little bottles to fill if you are going to try to empty a big one."

"I used this to refill cylinders following the directions exactly. I weighed the cylinders before and after filling to determine how much gas was actually transferred. Only half of the cylinders' capacity was transferred. Some sugestions based on my findings: chill the receiving cylinder in the freezer before filling; make sure the source cylinder is at 75 degrees F and not cooler; time the fill exactly with a watch's second hand. I had to extend the recommended time by 20 seconds under the above conditions and the cylinder was filled to the 16 oz. capacity. If the source cylinder is above 75 F, check the fill carefully so not to overfill. The only issue with not following the above, is the cylinder will not completely filled--but, following the directions exactly does maintain a safety margin."

"Haven't used it yet...Cabelas could do a better job disclosing all the information a buyer would need to make an informed decision...You need to tip the larger tank upside down in order to fill the smaller tank...May be a trick to pull off...Certainly an issue anyway...I'm not sure I would have purchased this coupler knowing that..."

"The unit is well made & instructions are good.They did lack any instruction concerning purging the small bottle before refilling or how to prevent possible overfilling the 16.8 lb.bottle. I am a little concerned on overfilling and possible rupture to the bottle. Otherwise the adapter should provide many years of service and save $$$$ when re- using the small propane containers. Would buy the product again."

"This product works very well, as long as you go by the directions. If you fill a bottle that is not cooled down like the directions say you only get a half a bottle refill. How ever if you cool the bottle down you get a good full fill. I did have two bottles that leaked when I tryed to fill them, it was the bottles that were bad. I refilled seven bottles and two I could not use. All in all this is an excellent product, but if it leaks most likely its the bottle try another one.

"Found I could get more in if I left the empty cylinder in the freezer for a while before filling. Still doesn't fill completely full but certainly is more cost effective than purchasing new cylinders and the tossing them when empty."

"This adapter is exactly what it says it is.
If you are sick of paying $5 for two 1lb. propane tanks everytime you head out, then this is the product for you.
What you need to know to make this work properly:
1. Stick your 1lb. bottles in the freezer at least 30 min. prior to filling.
2. Warm your 20lb. tank (in a hot bath tub or similar) prior to filling.
3. Attach adapter to 20lber 1st, then attach 1lb. bottle.
4. Turn 20lb. tank upside down and rest on handle.
5. Open valve to begin filling.
6. Wait ~10 minutes.
7. Pull overfill (schrader) valve on 1 lb. tank with needle nose pliers to bleed gas and ensure proper fill with LIQUID propane.
8. Turn off 20lb. tank and disconnect 1lb. bottle.
9. Your 1lb bottle will now be completely full.
10. repeat steps 1-9 4x and you've more than paid for this handy adapter!!!"
