good job,January 8, 2008
By witeta1lfrom Mahopac, NY
"Mr Sleight covers the basics of smoking very well in this book. I would recommend it for those who are starting off in the smoking world. Personally, I was hoping for a little more in depth perspective on the subject, but like he says in the book - smoking is more of "an art", which is left to the individual to find his or her taste."

a little complicated,November 16, 2007
By ELM1from Coos Bay, Oregon
"The book seems a little complicated for doing simple smoking of fish and making game jerky. I'm not sure about the meat smoking recipes."

Not what I expected,July 9, 2007
By SmokerInMdfrom Maryland
"I can't say that it's a "bad" cookbook, but it is certainly not what I was expecting. As a beginning "smoker", with an electric model, this book didn't help much at all. It primarily addresses building a smoker (woodsy-type) and preparing fresh (wild/game ) meat. I will find another cookbook that better suits my needs."
