"Great shorts. They worked well on the boat, they don't scream "FISHING SHORTS!" so I can wear them out and about. Pockets for pliers/line cutters are well placed and just big enough without the tools getting lost or flopping around. Front pockets big enough to hold disposable or small point and shoot camera comfortably. I haven't had them long enough to comment on durability, but they did just fine on a 5-day tuna trip to Guadalupe Island, but I've always had good experiences with Wrangler products."

"I have worn these shorts for years and keep replacing the old one with new ones just like them. The only thing I regret about them is that the discontinued the olive drab green ones. I have worn all three colors and have nothing against them all."

"Wrangler Angler jeans and shorts are the best I have found period! The fit is just right. They are comfortable. They provide just the right amount of extra "give" in the waist, but they don't look or feel like you're wearing a tent. I'm 70. I'm not in bad shape, but I'm not 25 any more either. I still like to wear jeans. I want good appearance, but I also want comfort. Wrangler Anglers do the job for me, and the price is reasonable."

Can't carry your big wallet with these.,

"Let me preface my remarks by saying I wear Wrangler brand jeans all of the time and they are very comfortable. When I was reading reviews about these shorts one of the men mentioned having a problem with the back pocket holding his wallet and not being able to secure it with the velcro tab. I have the same problem. I carry what's called a hipster wallet. It's just a little larger than a standard wallet for credit cards etc. It will fit in the back pocket o.k. but I can't secure it with the tab. The pockets also aren't very deep. If you want plenty of leg room, crotch room etc. these are the ones for you. They are very comfortable for climbing ladders, working around the house or yard or sitting in a boat. Just plan on carrying a minimum wallet or money clip."

Good shorts - skimpy back pockets,

"The shorts are comfortable and fit very well. The front pockets are roomy and deep. They have only one drawback that really impacts my rating and will definitely keep me from purchasing another pair. The back pockets are too shallow to hold a man's wallet and fasten the velcro at the top of the pocket. I don't believe my wallet is any bigger than anyone else's and I have almost lost it twice while wearing these shorts. If the back pockets were one inch deeper, the shorts would get a five star rating and I would order another pair."
