"I did not get 500 pices of brass I only got 497,out of 497 pices I had to scrap 4 do to bad kinks in the neck that woud not resize.there was alot of dings on the sides and the necks out of round. I though the brass was 2 grade"

"I bought 500 (5 bags of 100 each) cases and did not have to cull out any. I had one or two with small dents which will iron out when fired. I prep these cases before shooting and would recommend that the primer pockets be uniformed. I debur the inside of the flash holes also. All the cases are of proper length not undersized like Nosler cases. I would have given the "Winchester's" 5 stars if the primer pockets were not cupped. They are very uniform in weight also."

"Had to run expander through to make the necks round. Did not have any real problems with primer pockets or flash holes as some others have noted on here. Ordered 500 and received 500. Good brass for making bulk ammo."

"I have loaded approximately 300 rounds of this brass for a varmint trip in June with no problems. I have only fired about 10 test rounds, and I don't have any experience in the field yet. So far no problems."

"After checking with case gauge, i got consistent results, these are Good brass. I place another order of 500/bag. I hardly did any preparation. If i had to be picky the only bad thing I can say is the lenght trimming was a little rough... I left it alone since lenght was consistent."

"Winchester quality control seems poorer with respect to consistency in neck wall thickness. Using the Redding #26400 Case Neck Gauge, a sample of 100 cases yielded 7 cases with a variation of between .0015 and .002; and yielded 11 cases with a variation of greater than .002. With a typical neck wall thickness of .012, 18% of the cases have greater than a 10% tolerance.
If you're shooting well and your time is limited, Lapua or Nosler may be the smarter buy - its twice the cost until you start sorting out poor Winchester brass, and true Winchester's primer pocket, and debur Winchester's primer hole."

"The 1000 pieces of this brass that I ordered through the catalog was produced up to the standards I have come to expect from winchester. Lengths were were within a .001" to .004" of my desired trim length. The case neck thickness on the heavy side was generally around .001 to .0015". There were no apparent handling dings and dents. I did find that there were a few pieces in the lots that were not properly resized. This for me was not a problem as I always resize (fully) all the new brass that I purchase. I also purchased 500 of these same labled cases through the store in Buda Texas. I encountered many issues with this brass. Some may have been related to handling in the store and some in my mind were clearly a manufacturing problem. This brass had many, many handling dings and dents. I encounterd nearly a dozen pieces where the lip of the neck off to one side was crushed down slightly as if it was misaligned in the resizing machinery. I chose to use these pieces after resizing, trimming to a little shorter length and neck turning. My biggest concern with the store bought brass was an apparent misalignment of the flash hole off center of the primer pocket. Upon closer inspection it appeared as if the primer pocket had been struck off square of the bottom of the casing. this slight cant gave the appearance that the flash hole was off center. I found this slight cant when I installed my primer pocket uniformer. I would say 200 of the 500 cases was affected with this problem. I Am eager to get some of these loaded up with a load I know is extremely accurate at 100 yards to see if or what affect it may have on accuracy. I am sorry I can not provide Lot Numbers; but I was unable to locate any production information on the packages."
