"Product did not work as expected. There was a lot of background hiss and I could not differentiate bird calls that I could hear with my naked ear. Also, I could not tell the direction from which sound was coming."

"I use these muffs when shooting trap where I use them on a very low setting for shooting. They do suppress the shotgun blasts but still allow me to hear our range officers commands. I shoot big bore rifle and am 100% satisfied there too.
When hunting I turn them up to listen for animal sounds where they are excellent.
Unfortunately one side malfunctioned so I returned them and bought a second pair. I'm hoping this pair continue to function properly as I'm totally committed to using them in all of my shooting environments."

"Comfortable, easily adjusted, and warm on cool mornings.
Fairly good directionally. Cranking up the high frequencies allows me to hear hen yelps and all the tweety birds."

"I am so impressed with this product. I have Tinitis whch masks a lot of sounds in the woods when hunting. These have made my awareness of game near my location more apparent. If I want to hear an ant crawling on my boot I can and still fire at my target without fear of ear pain and injury. they are very comfortable for long term waring too. Worth the $$$'s"

"I was very excited about this product until I opened the package and put them on the very first time.
I have a XL - XXL size head. The plastic band is too narrow at the top of the band. I used them on three different occasions, on each occasion they pinched my head and left me with a head ache. I wear shooting muffs everytime I shoot. This was a first. They are very uncomfortable.
Overall I think this product has some great potential but could use a serious redesign of the head band."

"The walker quad muffs work much better than the cheaper muffs I have had. Absolutely no feedback(whistling) and good range of power. They even worked well under a hood in the rain. I hear geese and ducks coming long before my buddy and he has better hearing."

"I love these things, My hearing is failing over the years, and these things help me hear everything going on around me and then over the ridge too.
You can adjust the volume to hear your emediate surroundings or to pick up sound from over on the next ridge.
I would recomend these to anyone who wants to hear more of their surroundings while hunting."

"Hey girls - they work great. My husband has this selective hearing - so I make him wear the ear muffs in the house - and then he can't fake not hearing me! Just kidding. He wore them deer hunting all season except for the days that the hurricane winds were blowing! It's a great product and he's also anxious to wear them to the shooting range. "Walker Quad Muffs worked great first day. Developed a lot of static in left ear on second day. I contacted Walker and they will repair or replace. I was able to hear deer walking before I was able to see them when both ears were working. I did have some trouble with finding out the direction the sound was coming from. One excellent feature was keeping my ears warm in 17 degree weather with the wind blowing. I would have given them a 5 star rating if both ears had worked the entire trip."

"I have returned this product for an exchange. If the new ones have the same problems, I will return them for a refund. The muffs made the motor boat sound constantly. In a 4 week time period I replaced the batteries 4 times. This did not eliminate the motor boat sound. There was also loud noises in the muff from time to time.
A friend of mine has this product and does not have the above problems, that is why I am requesting an exchange. Hopefully, the new muffs will work correctly."

"Purchased these this summer. Worked very good when tried out by turning down the TV very low. We hunt Deer by chasing and running dogs. I was very disappointed. The muffs sure enhanced the sounds, but I could not tell sound direction of dogs tounging or shooting or anyother sounds. These may be very good for still hunting in a tree stand, but I would not recommend using them for the way we hunt. Immediate knowledge of sound direction is very important. I purchased these based on the reviews submitted. I would only recommend to a friend if the person still hunts."

"I was somewhat leary of the relatively low NRR of 24, to provide adequate hearing protection. First use was at an indoor range, and they performed very well. Sound supression was more than I expected, and hearing of normal conversation was outstanding!"

"I would say this unit functions as advertised.
I wear them hunting, over my hearing aids, so I can hear my dog's e-collar locater beep, but not have my ears blasted when a shot is fired. So I was very pleased with the the auto shut off function.
My only (small) complaint is that, even with their low profile, they do still bump my shot gun when I bring it into fire position."
