"I remachined this sight to fit a Springfield XD dove tail, and used it in conjuntion with a S & W rear sight. It works really well, and you gunsmiths might want to give it a try."

"Cabela's service was great.
Sight experience was not so great.
This sight sat taller on the barrel than the original sight. I could not adjust the back sight enough to compensate.
Maybe it was just me, but Im not a fan of this product.."

"The Ruger MKII HiViz front sight will fit a bull barreled Ruger. It comes with it's own screw for attaching it. It also comes with six "light pipes" three in green, three in red. The base material is metal, and the sight is quite heavy, like the OEM sight. The "light pipes" swap out easily with the plastic tool provided.
Installation took all of two minutes. Use LocTite on the screw to prevent it from backing out.
The front sight picture fits into the standard Ruger rear sight notch nicely. The fiber optics light up brightly in ambient light, even indoors. They do help with quick sight acquisition, and sight acquisition is easier for those with fading eyesight."

"It's worth the price. I got a browning camper and the front black sight was plastic and this is metal so if you wounder if it is plastic no it's not it's metal better than the stock front sight and it comes with a good holder for all 6 tubes. Love product better than true glo not cheap plastic. It sights in so much better and better focus on my eye"

"I am totally satisfied with the Hi Viz sights. I am 65 and the eyes aren't as sharp as they used to be. The Hi Viz front sight makes it so I can align on target quixkly and not have to "look" for the front sight to assure I am aligned properly.
Any chance of making a similar type rear sight?

"I bought this front sight for my Ruger MKII competion target, as I am in my early 50's I dont seem to pick up the clear sight picture that I need. My by-focals work pretty good but this sight gave me the contrast that I needed to make a clean and even sight picture. My groups did improve, I like the green post the best as it is very bright and helps you foucus on the sights, If you have a clear sight picture , you have a good shot."

"When first mounted , I was disappointed ,for the HiViz sight looked as if it was a bubble level balanced on the end of the 5.5 inch bull barrel..but the performance of the sight makes up for it's looks..in bright sunlight I prefer the stock post gun sight..but when used looking into shadows with ambient light at your back, the HiViz is unsurpassed in helping you aquire a good sight picture..Yes I will keep the HiViz sight mounted...for it's good sight alignment , far out way it's few short comings..."

"I decided that I wanted the kind of glow-in-the dark front sights for my Ruger Mark III that I came to depend on with my Buckmark Target Camper. The HiViz kit was easy to install and it proved a good, solid fit. My only complaint; the metal finish on the HiViz is a little rough compared to the smooth blue of the Ruger. Aesthetics aside, the HiViz for the Ruger Mark III is a big improvement over the original iron blade! And Cabela's price is hard to beat."
