"I bought these in hopes of being able to see my sights on my Remington 870 rifled barrel better for hunting season. The green rear sight was really bright and easily seen, the red front sight however, not so much. I might as well have been using a black post. When sighting them in, they weren't the best then ether. The rear sight is so touchy you try to move it a 1/16" and it moves an 1/8". They also are hard to tighten down, i had the screws as tight as i could get it without fear of stripping the hole out (plastic base, metal screw) and i can still move them without too much effort. After spending $40 on rounds to get them dialed in i just bought a red dot scope and will put the OEM sights back on. If i can find some green fiber optics to replace the red front i might give them another try."

"They are made of plastic. The front sight broke in half after leaning it against a few trees. Very bright. But very fragile. Avoid these."

"I ordered these sites for my husbands camo deer gun. It was a perfect fit. He was very pleased which helped me. Other places I looked in my city tried to sell me what they called a universal site. After researching, Cabelas was perfect with the item and shipping in a timely manner."

"I put the sights on my slug barrel the first day out the front sight broke I was lucky I kept the original front sight. The rear sight is alive and well. The makers of tru glo need to develop a better front sight system."

"very cheap - should of bought the pro. Sighting in was lessen in frustration as site would slide back every time you loosened screws. Orig. front site needs to be pounded out to replace - not up for it myself.
Rem. 870 12 gauge."

"Like most anything ,you get what you pay for. The front sight for the Winchester was a composite type material and to me seemed cheap and probably easy to break on a cold hunting morning. The rear sight was not much better. Next time around I will without a doubt buy the pro series slug sights for more money. They are all metal. Don't be cheap, spend the extra money. What did your gun cost?"

Tru Glo shotgun sights,

"We can only use shotguns here in our area for deer hunting. I have Rem.870 both 12 and 20 ga shotguns with slug barrels. I have outfitted both guns with the Tru Glo sights. I love the Tru Glo. I don't have the best eyesight in the world at dusk and with the Tru Glo sights lined up I don't have to worry as much about getting a killing shot. I won't take a shot that I can't be sure to take the animal down immediately."
