Tough as nails,October 27, 2009
By NMdudefrom New Mexico
"I had a major scope malfunction while guiding at the beginning of last fall. I bought the 4-16 AO scope used at a killer price as a quick fix for my Browning A-Bolt. The optics are crisp and clear, dawn or dusk, rain or shine, with plenty of eye relief for my .338. Mine seems to be a little picky about the parallex settings outside of 150 yards, but not a big deal for most situations. Adjustments are positive and the Burris Posi-lock feature seems to be for real. A horse took a tumble while the rifle was in the scabbard, dented up the scope pretty bad, hairline crack in the objective lens. Checked the zero a couple times and it was still dead on, even at the end of a 5 day hunt. Contacted Burris about the scope, even though I didn't have the warranty paperwork they replaced the scope minus the cost of shipping. Customer service doesn't get much better than that."

Great Product,October 12, 2009
By MKJBfrom Alaska
"I own a Signature Select scope and a pair of Signature Select binoculars. The clarity and eye relief are awsome. Customer service...superior! I sent in my original binoculars for repair after I dropped them off a mountain ledge, so they're not indestructable, but Burris sent me a free replacement within weeks.
I've spent many long hours glassing the mountain sides of Alaska and I wouldn't trade my Burris glass for any other. I would strongly endorse Burris to any customer."

Burris Signature,August 28, 2009
By Burrisfanfrom Colorado
"I own a total of 11 Burris scopes, 7 Signatures and 4 Fullfields. I also have a pair of 12x50 Signature and 8x42 Euro Diamond binocs. I have never been disappointed in any of them. I have had occasion 3 different times to have scope repairs done, each time my fault-not the product's, at the factory in Greeley, CO which is close to my home. Without exception they have been accomodating and have taken care of my issues promptly. I own a pair of Zeiss binocs and a Zeiss Diavari scope and I feel the Signatures are comparable and the Euro Diamond better. The quality of the products combined with the exceptional customer service I have received have made me a dedicated Burris fan."

Burris Signature Select 4x16x-44,June 6, 2009
By kjhcpdkfrom MN
"Very clear and great eye relief. Scope works as advertised and was a great addition to a Rem 700 VSSF. Shot 750+ rounds of 22-250 over three days in SD, with no change noted in settings. I compared to Leupold and Nikon when purchasing and was convinced by my own eyes that this scope measures up to and/or exceeds the competition at a better price, and warranty. Very happy with purchase, and many thanks to the guys at Cabelas in Owatonna for their expert help with scope and gun."

GOOD SCOPE POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE,October 1, 2008
By Rampagingsquirelfrom Lancaster PA
"Let me start off buy telling the good things about the scope. Burris is one of the clearist scopes that I have owned. Unfortantley the scope fogged up on me on the first day of deer season. No big deal things happen. Sent the scope back to Burris and it took over a month to get response of the progress of the scope. Then I received the scope back and it was crystal clear at short distances, but any further than 100 yds it would not stay focused. I contacted Burris about this and they asked me to adjust my eye piece. To make short of it they had me send the scope back for repair, but they are not willing to work with you. Nothing as far as wasted ammo and nothing for wasted time. Good scope, but terrible customer service. Just hope nothing ever goes wrong with it and you will be fine."
"The clarity is exceptional for a reasonable price. It makes judging distance quick and easy. This is a must for hunting out west where shots over 300 yards are normal."

Great Scope,July 29, 2008
By SSS1from Olive Branch, MS
"I have a 3x12-44 on a semi custom Winchester model 70 7mmWSM. My scope has the posi-lock feature which holds the zero in place. This is one great peice of glass. Clarity is exceptional at this price. I compared to Nikon Monarch and Leupold VXII but decided this was better. Ballistic Plex is a nice feature that removes some of the guesswork on the shot. I have used this scope for over a year now with absolutely no problems or complaints. I definately will buy another Burris the next time I need a new scope."
"I had the version of this scope that had the aperture control called "light collector" mounted on a custom gun made from a Sako 75 action. It had the Sako Opti Loc scope mounting system which is very much like the Burris Signaure Select rings. It uses plastic inserts so that the scope doesn't actually contact the metal part of the rings at all. This is a very secure system that doesn't leave any marks on, or damage the scope in any way.... highly recommended!! The Burris was a complete piece of junk. It would lose zero. The "light collector broke twice from recoil and I was shooting a .257 STW that didn't have much recoil at all. It would hold zero for about 15 rounds and shoot 1/4" groups then start shooting wild. I couldn't even see a point of impact on a 12"X12" target@100 yards. I would send it back to Burris and they would "repair" it and the same thing would happen after 15-20 rounds. Just enough to get it sighted in then go hunting and not be able to hit a deer standing broadside at 100 yards. Put my old Bushnell on and no problems. Burris refused to change it out for the model without the light collector after 4 returns, too bad because I really like the quality of the glass. It was very clear and didn't change the color of anything compared to the naked eye like a lot of scopes do. Thank God for Cabelas because after this debacle and the passing of about 2 years they refunded my money.... pays to keep receipts!! This left a very bad impression of Burris and their customer service. I spent a lot of money and time making ammo and paying for shipping. I will buy either a Bushnell Elite 4200 or a Nikon Monarch from now on, the Leupolds have gotten way too expensive and don't offer a 4X zoom range in anything reasonably priced!"

Best in Class by a long shot!,December 2, 2007
By elaskowskifrom Kosciusko, Texas
"A gun is only as good as it's scope so don't cheap out. When deciding to buy a scope, (and I highly recommend this) I'd close my eyes and I had the optics guy randomy hand my buddy a (in my case a mid powered mid range priced) scope. He would adjust the parallax to a poster across the store (same one every time) and set the scope on the lowest setting. He would then hand it to me, I'd open my eyes looking through the scope, find the object and zoom in on it. (Two big keys here... initially finding the object in the scope, and the ease of zooming in on it withouth losing it.) I'd judge the clarity and ease of use without knowing the brand. You rank your favorites, you're buddy keeps score, and then you figure out how much you're willing to spend. The only scope that outperformed the Burris in clarity were the Swarovskis. Grade level they matched the Leupolds, (the high end Burris Black Diamond matched the high end Leupolds). I had never heard of Burris before that day and actually had my mind set on a Nikon or Leupold (and was willing to spend a lot more money haha). When looking through the Burris Signature Selects and Black Diamonds, I was certain I was looking through higher end Leupolds. I couldn't believe the comparatively low price for that kind of quality. I've had the Burris Signature Select 4-16X44 on my Remington 700 SPS Varmint 22-250 for 4 months now and love it. I was at the gun range today and my buddies and I were using my scope to see everyones bullet holes at 200yds. The 20X spotting scopes that the range provided couldn't show the holes because they weren't clear enough! The key is excellent and easy parallax adjustment and extremely clear glass. The clear glass ties as best feature with the 4x zoom multiplier. This huge range allows easy acquisition at low zoom and prcision at high zoom. Most manufacturers only have a 3X i.e. 4-12 zoom. I will eventually put this scope on a 30-06 or 7mm and buy a more powerful (6-24) Burris Signature Select or hopefully a Black Diamond to put on the 22-250. I'll admit I was skeptical of the scope at first having never heard of Burris, but it has done nothing but prove itself to me time and time again in the field."

Compare a Burris before you purchase,December 2, 2007
By FitzfromKSfrom Topeka, KS
"I have been using a Signature Select 3-12x44 BDC for a few months now. IMO a Burris riflescope will rival almost any other scope in the same price range when it comes to visual clarity, especially at dawn and dusk. I think most hunters always think to immediately pick up a Leupold or Nikon without ever comparing it with a Burris of the same caliber. Whatever price range you are wanting to be in, you owe it to yourself to compare next to a Burris before making your final choice and always try to find a dark corner to stare off into if at all possible. Most of your best shots will be taken in low light conditions if you're after that monster rack."

6-24 Mil-Dot Signature Series,October 13, 2006
By PAGroundhogGuy15from Western PA
"I bought this scope at the West Virginia Cabelas in November of 2005 from the Bargain Cave. It only had a scratch on it from a ring mount, perfect otherwise. It is awesome! It has great clarity for the price, good fit for a bigger gun( I have it on a Rem. 700 .22-250 LA), great for a quick adjustment on the target, and it comes with a free sunshade. It was well worth the purchase and would recommend it to anyone."
