Burris has taken the popular Fullfield scope to the next level with the introduction of the Fullfield II. This scope is even more forgiving for eye position and is shorter, lighter and even stronger than the original. The magnification ring and eyepiece have been made into one solid unit requiring only two seals rather than three. Changing magnification is as easy as turning the eyepiece. Like the originals, they have a one-piece main tube and eyepiece with the steel-on-steel adjustment system. The European-style diopter system is easy to use and requires no locking mechanism. Some models are available with the proven Ballistic Plex reticle, which is calibrated perfectly for short magnum cartridges.

    Good value, September 24, 2009
By budgethunter from Queen Creek AZ

"This scope is a good buy for the money, and seems to be good quality. The ballistic plex is a nice option but not quite as good crosshairs as some of the others, these seem a little small making it difficult to use when hunting, but the only ones that seem great is the Zeiss Rapid Z plex.

I have the 4-14X50 and it seems quite clear, with good eye relief. I would rate it a 5 but do not like the focus adjustment on it.

It does not measure up to my Nikon Monarchs but then again it is a little cheaper on the pocket book.

    2-7X35 Fullfield II, September 10, 2009
    By setter4ever from Astoria, NY

"Image quality from edge to edge is as good as on much more expensive scopes. I compared it to 3.5-10X40 Leupold VX3 and it's as bright (even with smaller diameter objective lens) and clearer at edges, but on fraction of the price.
It's made in Philippines and Burris doesn't hide that either (as opposite, you can't find on the Leupold VX3 where it's made in, most probably in China).

Clear and Dependable Scopes, July 4, 2009
    By MAKELONGSHOTS from Tennessee

"I Have 3 Fullfield II Scopes as well as Leupolds, and Nikons.
The Burris Scopes are a lot more clear. When it comes to the
Ballistic Plex. I found out you must tune to your bullet they work different with some ammunition, especially with factory ammo, but when I hand loaded I had no problems with any of my loads they all worked well USING A
300 WSM WITH A 3X9X50 BURRIS B. PLEX I MADE A 452 YARD SHOT ON A NICE BUCK HE DROPPED IN HIS TRACKS. I have also spoke to the customer service depatment at Burris they back the produts they produce if anyone have a problem with a Burris scope I suggest you send it back to Burris.

"This is the fifth fullfield II I have bought and they are just great. I have them on a .17HMR/22-250/257 WBY/30-06/338 WIN MAG and have not had one fail me yet. For the price a quality they can not be beat."

Works great on mini 14, May 26, 2009
    By Minishooter from Puyallup, Wa

"I recently installed this scope on my ruger mini14. It works great. I bought the ballistic plex model. Im shootin 300 yard centers all day, with the iron sights your lucky to a 100 yard target due to the extreamly large arperture hole."

Could be better, May 24, 2009
    By jgh2007 from Southern Utah

"I found my Fullfied II Burris scope to be hard to sight in. This scope was boresighted on a 270 WSM at the store and yet it took me nearly 100 rounds to sight this gun in. I would add that I have recently purchased a Zeiss Conquest scope for a 30-06 Remington and I was able to sight in within 8 shots.I do feel that Burris provides a quality scope for the money and I would consider purchasing another one depending on what I would mount it on. But I am likely to spend more for the next scope because I truly love my new Zeiss."

Value For Your Bucks, April 21, 2009
    By JohnnyLightening from Hackensack, NJ

"The Burris Fullfield II gives you a bright and clear scope for a very reasonable price. The 1/4 min windage and elevation knobs are easy to adjust with just a coin but feel positive and precise. The B-Plex reticle helps you acquire fast without dominating the target. Magnification and focus are smooth.

I have mine in 3X9 mounted to a little jewel of a .22 WMR bolt action for a neat little set-up and took a handsome red fox I called in this past winter.

The Burris Fullfield II may not have gold-filled lettering but it's a precision hunting instrument. So why not spend less bucks to bag more bucks?

Burris Fullfield II, April 14, 2009
By 83mvp from Plains of Texas

"In my opinion, absolutely the best scope buy in it's price point on the market. I own 4 Fullfields on a 7mm-08, .30-06, .300 WSM and .300 H&H. I shoot every one of my Burris scoped rifles 50-75 times a year and I've never had one fail and repeatablility has always been excellent. I've hunted with Burris scopes since the '80's and will continue to buy them. I've always lived by the idea to put the best glass on your rifle that you can afford. Quite frankly I can afford more, and I do own some more expensive scopes. But I've yet to find a scope that outperforms Burris for my hunting needs."

High recoil tolerant, March 31, 2009
    By BRM58 from Bartlesville, Okla.

"I purchased the Fullfield II 2-7x35 to handle the recoil of my 45/70. It was recommended to me by a representative of another scope manufacturer to use a fixed power or short variable scope to handle high recoil becuase they flex less than the longer variables. I know this to be true because I also own a Burris Black Diamond, Signature and Fullfield II 4.5-14x42 that all held on my lower recoil calibers but would not hold zero on my 45/70 after about 15-20 rounds. This shorter varialbe is about 11 inches long and after 20 rounds is still holding zero just fine. I will put it through another 20 rounds to find out for sure if it is going to continue to hold. I have returned the other three scopes to the Burris service department which has informed me they are backlogged 8 to 10 weeks which doesn't sound good and they didn't want to admit that any of their scopes would have trouble with recoil."

Lost my favorite rifle, January 25, 2009
    By BigHornBasin

"After comparing optics side by side, I decided on the FF II 3x9 with B-plex for my pre 64 .270. Unfortunately for me, my wife used this rifle with bipod to take her Antelope at 507 yards (Leica rangefinder). At least I got to buy another rifle which I will equip with another FF II B-plex. Absolutely the best scope for the money"

Good scope for the price, December 24, 2008

"This is my second Burris scope. I bought one with the posi-lock about ten years ago and it is still going strong. This one went on my 30.06 and it did well, getting 1" groups at 100 yards. The BDC seems to work okay for this caliber as well."

"I just put this scope on a new .280 Ruger Hawkeye. Shot 2 3/4 groups at 300 yards. The scope matches up well with the .280 at 100, 200, and 300 yards. I own other scopes and this one performs as good as any of them. Great scope and great value."

    By Anonymous from Virginia

"I bought this scope new about 10 years ago and it has worked fine on a 22 magnum.I recently bought a new 7MM-08 and put this scope on it.I tried 2 types of ammo and lead was flying all over the paper.I borrowed a friends Leupold and shot a 5/8" group with the same ammo. The scope won't hold up to recoil.I sent the scope back to Burris and 5 weeks later I get it back with a note saying nothing was wrong with it.No more Burris scopes for me."

    fullfield 3-9x40, November 22, 2008
    By Andrepdx from Oregon/Cali

"I bought this scope to go on my new 06. This is my second scope from burris with the balistic plex. Great little scope and it came with the GPS. Which came in handy in a new area I never hunted before. You can't beat this great combo for the $. The scope is nice and clear, but would be nice if it gathered more light at dusk/dawn when I compared it to my buddys leupold side by side. But it is at least twice as much $. My only real concern is after hiking through some thick brush, after it rained during oregons elk season. my scope was all fogged up. It was the outside lenses, but still. I did not like the fact, that if I came upon an elk, I would need to wipe them off. And at that time I did not have anything soft enough to be wiping the lenses off. Then it happend again when it snowed few days later. This is why I only give it 4 stars. If you dont have the $ for a nikon or leupold, then this is great scope for you. My next scope will be the monarch. You get what you pay for in Optics."

    Unhappy, November 21, 2008
    By Friedramps from Fairmont, WV

"Let me begin by saying the scope has given me rock solid groups at sight in. The optics however are deplorable and at 9 power only the outer edge of the scope is clear. At 60 yards I have better visual acuity with my eyes and I have old eyes. Also moving the scope to 9 power requires way to much effort. I actually have to grab the front of the scope with my left hand and then turn with the right hand to keep the rifle from twisting and sooner or later this is going to loosen the mounts. The power knob also locks up before the 9 power marking is reached. As mentioned by another reviewer the optical focus knob goes rolling right along with the power adjustment.

    Pass.
