"would not recomend the 1.5x4 scope for the 460 smith and wesson. Even with the posi lock after a few round the rectacle started to rotate inside the tube."

"I purchased this scope for a S&W .44 mag handgun. shots were inconsistent at 25 yards. very disappointed. I swapped it out with a Leopuld scope using the same rings and base. sighted in was easy and shots were touching each other at 25 yards."

"I HAVE BEEN THROUGH TWO BURRIS SCOPES. THE FIRST ONE HAD THE THE RETICLES TURN INSIDE THE TUBE AFTER A FEW SHOTS AND THE SECOND GOT SPECS INSIDE THE TUBE THAT ENDED UP ALL OVER THE INSIDE OF THE LENSE. HAVING TO SEND BACK TWO SCOPE FOR WARRANTY REPAIR AND THEN SIGHTING BACK IN ONLY TO FIND OUT THAT I WASTED TIME AND MONEY HAS BEEN A REAL HASSEL TO SAY THE LEAST. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THESE TO ANYONE SHOOTING ANYTHING BIGGER THAN A .22."

"Do not buy this product unless you like wasting your money. I tried a 1.5 x 4 with the posi-lock on a .460 smith and wesson, lasted maybe 50 rounds before the point of impact started changing on every round. One bullet would hit 8" high, next one 8" low, off to the left then off to the right. I thought maybe I messed it up adjusting it with the posi-lock engaged and I wanted a little higher power scope. I bought the burris 4 x 8 with posi-lock did the same thing the first one did only quicker. I have had good luck with other burris scopes but there handgun scopes are junk."

"Would NOT recommend to anyone. Mounted to my .44 Ruger Blackhawk Hunter, and after 12 rounds, reticle began to break down. Adjustments were inconsistent at 50 yards, and at 7x magnification sight picture was weak at best. I have 8 Leupold scopes, and should have stuck with a real quality product. Will not buy anything by Burris in the future"

"Nice clarity and well built, but zoom above 4 power and you begin to lose eye relief. At 12 power, you practically have to aim like a rifle scope with your arms bent and your hands are nearly to your chest. I am returning and using a Burris 2X on my Encore 7m-08 that doesn't have that problem."

"I would not recommend this scope. The 2x7 is useless, if u dial passed 4 u can't see anything. I ordered the silver and the color is more of a brown. The adjustments are very stiff and kind of hokey."

"I have used several Burris scopes and have never been disappointed. Burris scope are the best scopes out there for price and quality in my opinion. Installed this on my Ruger MK III hunter. Exceptionally bright clear optics, positive adjustments, and holds zero. I also have another on my T/C Encore pistol and have gotten the same results."

"This is a great scope. I looked at over 10 scopes willing to pay whatever I needed for quality target acquisition and an excellent warrantee. I've spent double on other scopes for my rifles, yet there is a huge difference in searching for the right handgun scope. Don't just take my word for it, go to a store and try each one if you don't believe me."

"I put this scope on a Ruger .454 casull. Less than a 100 rounds and the reticle broke. I'm sure burris will fix it. A friend of mine sent his back three times with the same problem. Burris finally sent him the posi lock model and it has been fine. Also, anything above 4X and you lose a lot of eye relief, take it to 7X with the casull and you'll probably be wearing it for a hat."

"I have used Burris scopes for years on several different hunting handguns. I mounted one to a Thompson Contender in 45/70. After more than 200 rounds the recticles fell out and I figured I was out of business. A phone call to Burris and less than a week later I had a brand new scope in the mail. Great optics and you can't beat the customer service."

"Did alot of studying to match a scope to handle the big bore concussion. Burris service people answered every question and addressed any problem quickly. Zeroed at 150 yards. I was able to head shoot a deer on the run at 150+. When asked why the head shot my answer was "because I could". The second day out I was able to down a deer at 150+ with a running cross heart shot taken off a fence post using 6x power. This Burris scope has an excellent factory made mounting and rings for my big bore handgun. This scope has made a pretty good shot out of this 50+ year old set of worn out eyes. This scope would be a real find for a younger shooter with good handgun skills and good eye sight. The scope is a real value for the price. Good luck with your Burris scope and my all of your big game fall with a thud."

"I originally was purchasing this burris handgun scope from another vendor due to price quoted on your web site! But the day I went to order the scope the shooting catolog came in the mail. The price quoted in the catolog was 30 dollars cheaper then the vendor. I called you folks and confirmed price, sales person on thee other end stated that the price changed and the web site info had not been updated. She was more then happy to take my order and was very sorry for any inconveniece I might have incurred. This is the kind of service that keeps me coming back to you folks. I have never had a less then great service from the Cabelas family!!"
