"I got this for my Remington 870 riot. I brought it up to my local firing range and field tested the oem stock which was good. But then after about 25 shells i installed the blackhawk/knoxx spec ops recoil reduction stock and WOW.. there was a big difference. i shot 00 buck shot magnums and there was a noticible difference. towards the end of the day, a gentleman showed up with a remington 870 with a standard 4 position stock (m4) style and we tested side by side. Shot winchester rifled slugs (super x) and there was an even bigger difference. Was able to get the target back to the line of sight much quicker.
great buy.. totally worth the $$"

"i just got the blackhawk specops stock with knoxx recoil reduction today and installed it onto my mossberg 500 12 ga. I wanted to share with anyone who has already bought or is thinking about buying this stock that installation is just about as simple as it could possibly be. i actually had a bit of a hard time getting the original stock off of the shotgun. but once i dealt with that issue, it took literally about 2 minutes to install the specops stock and snug down the bolt. i cant wait to get out to the range tomorrow and put some rounds through it but i have no doubt it will be everything cabelas and blackhawk say it will be."

"I was very happy to complete the simple install for this stock and pistol grip. I've always had a problem with Shotgun stocks that don't fit. I'm 6'5" and can take a beating with normal length stocks. Problem solved and with a recoil reduction system to boot. The added surprise was the inclusion of a new forarm in the package. This has a section on the bottom to attached some new goodies,perhaps a flashlight? All went well and I highly recommend this product to all Rem 870 owners."

"I bought the version for a Remington 870 and there is no way the forearm will work on an 870 with out major refabrication. The buttstock fit the gun OK but it had a terrible recoil pad. I bought a Limbsaver recoil pad and installed it after removing the factory pad. I hope the stock works well to reduce recoil, my friend has one that came on the shotgun and he likes it, or the whole thing will be a flop. For what I got it is way over priced by the manufacture."

"I was impressed by the quality of the product and the ease of installation. It fit my 870 very well and the adjustable stock (fully extended) makes the fit much better for me. Would recommend this product."
"The stock fit perfectly on my my Mossberg 835, it installed literally in minutes, the fit and finish are very nice. The forend was another issue. First, I now see the ad states the forend comes with it, previously it made no mention of it in the ad and I almost had a seperate one shipped but decided to wait. I was surprised when the stock arrrived and the forend was there. I was really surpised that I had to spend about 90 minutes with my dremel to get it to fit, after fabricating a wrench from a 1" piece of electrical conduit to remove/replace the forend nut, again with the dremel. In the end it all makes for an awesome combo, just be prepared for the modifications to the forend. Recoil with slugs is quite manageable now I don't know about a 95% reduction but quite possibly 50% for sure in my case. It is worth the money, it works."

one problem i had on a moss. 500 is that you cant take down the action to clean it because it has a peace that goes behind the triger gard the only way i found to clean it is take off the stock then you can remove it"

"The first time I took my Rem 870 out for a spin, shooting 4 dozen slugs. The original stock was too long for my short arms. My arm got severely bruised. Ordered the SpecOps and was able to plant the stock on my shoulder rather than my upper arm. The recoil and pistol feature took most of the kick out. Don't shoot without this!
