"This hammer & sear kit was a definite upgrade from stock. Much lighter trigger pull after installation. I used my 10/22 squirrel hunting this season and the upgrade definitely increased my ability to shoot accurately due to the lighter and crisper trigger pull. I did this install myself in about an hour. Not too difficult as long as you pay attention to how the trigger group is dissassembled."

"if you have been disapointed with your 10-22 trigger pull you will love this. mine went in easy. pay att. to how you take it apart you are good. i hated my trigger for 20 years and in a short time it went from (bad) to nice. i love it if you want extra special upgrade to adjustable or beyond. i think some of the bad reviews didnt buy what( they really expected) i think it was the best money i have ever spent toys i cant say enough enjoy"

"This is a good trigger. The installation was very simple and the shims were a great addition. A small amount of creep but still breaks like glass. If you are not familiar with the 10/22 trigger assembly you may want to have a gunsmmith install this for you. The instructions seem to be geared for a gunsmith. The disassembly, install and assembly took almost 20 minutes. I would buy this again."

"excellent trigger upgrade from what you get from the factory. Use the shims to center the hammer with the sear this is important. Then after about 500 rounds use a good trigger grease at the contact points, a little will do. Oils will only collect dirt in the trigger housing!"

"This kit provided the promised trigger pull, however, the installation process was not enjoyable. As others have noted, the instructions are very poor. Instead of the 90+ minutes it took me, detailed instructions would have cut the time by half or more, keeping in mind I did not need to stone the sear."

"I would recommend anyone that purchases this trigger system have a factory manual present or have had prior experiance with the 10/22 trigger. I have seen several reviews that say it is a 10 minute job. If you are new to the inner workings of the trigger on this gun it absolutely will take you a lot longer than that. The instructions that came with the trigger system consisted of a crude drawing of the parts supplied and a copy of the factory manual that is cut off at the bottom of page at the level of the trigger, which makes them basically useless. That said, the trigger system is fairly easy to figure out and work with once you've had a little time with it. I didn't measure the amount of pull, but it seems to be about half of the factory trigger. There is a fair amount of creep present that was disappointing, but it works well enough. Well, should you buy? If you dislike the factory trigger enough then go for it, but listen to my warnings about having a factory manual it will save some time. I gave 2 stars for the instructions and 4 stars for the trigger, which average to 3 stars."

"I had never taken apart the trigger group of my 10/22 and it appeared a little overwhelming to start with, but it wasn't bad at all. The directions that come with this kit consist primarily of a hand drawn (possibly by a 2 year old) diagram....not too many specific instructions.
I used a RCBS trigger pull gauge before and average was 7-7.5 lb.s and 4-4.5 lb.s after installation (to be honest, I did get a few just over 3 lb.s-but it wasn't the average). So, it did work, but not to the extent advertised. It also added a very rough/creep to the trigger. I actually like the harder pull over the creeping one. I have uninstalled my kit and will be returning it tomorrow."

"I bought this kit on a trial basis. Needless to say this kit does wonders for the trigger pull of a Ruger 10/22. I use mine for plinking and it is as good as some professional trigger jobs. Mine has a slight bit of creep but breaks cleanly & repeatedly at 2 1/2 lbs. As stated by others the directions are very poorly written and I would like to see a better visual picture of how the shims and pins fit together, but once installed it is a true gem!!"

"Lots of parts. Easy to install. Reduced the pull from 5.5 lb. to 2.5 lb. Smooth pull as well. I suggest that you ultrasonicly clean the entire trigger group then oil the pieces as you reinstall them."

"Overall the product is good. I would have rated it excellent if not for the really poor instructions. They should take you through the installation step by step and have illustrations that are better than the hand sketches that are provided. However if you are familar with the 10-22, have experience taking it apart for cleaning and have the exploded view, it can be done fairly easily. My trigger now breaks clean at 2.5 lbs."

"Delivery was fast. The kit was really well made and works super. Installation was no so straightforward. The printed instructions that came with the kit were absolutely horrible. Poorly written, terrible graphics (only a poorly reproduced small Ruger 10-22 factory diagram that did not reflect the kit parts) and basically useless. Why would a company make a good product and publish such awful instructions? There is no excuse for it in today's time with such easy and commonly available PC editing capabilities."

"I never liked the trigger pull weight on my Ruger 10/22 rifle. I installed the new kit from Cabela's and was very pleased with the results. I rated this product 4 stars. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because this is not a custom trigger job performed by a good gun smith. However for most applications you will use your 10/22 for, I see no reason why this product will not give you a noticeable difference over the stock hammer & sear."
