Best Hi capacity magazine for Ruger 10/22,

"When looking to get more then 10 rounds out of your ruger 10/22 rifle or Charger pistol look no further then the Steel lips High capacity magazines. The most important feature is the steel cap on the magazine instead of the plastic/polymere on the competitors that will grind down and cause malfunctions in your shooting. These are Long life magazines you can enjoy for years. They clip together to allow quick changing, so two 25 round magazines will make that 50 roound box a single use. Best for plinking fun."

"I recently purchased one of these magazines along with the speed loader that goes with it and then went to the ranges. It worked excellently with my 10/22 (ran through 700 rounds in a heartbeat); and I was satisfied enough that I went and got another one ( I would have gotten two but; there was only one available at the time). Didn't have any problems with it from the git go and don't expect any problems with the newer one either. If your looking for a higher capacity magazine I'd recommend getting this one; or another with this proviso--that the feed mechanism have steel lips. I've shopped around and read reviews here and several other sites as well; and it seems that the steel lipped mag's don't have any problems.
I'd also recommend getting a speed loader for whatever mag you choose. It becomes extremely difficult to depress the follower spring when you are trying to load them by hand. Using the speed loader is a bit tricky at first; but getting the hang of it is a skill quickly picked up, and makes it so much easier and much more fun."

"It's very well built and should last a long time due to the metal lips and metal sides. The side metal attachments are important for the longevity of the clip as far as taking the clip in and out. I've wore out many a clips plastic side attachments. After a while they just won't clip in and stay anymore. The clip has worked very well .

"works flawlessly so far after about 100 rounds through it. I think the steel lips are the only way to go. Whether you want all steel on the magazine is up to you, but it costs a lot more. This mag is a good value for the money."

"DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THIS PRODUCT. IT FEEDS AMMO VERY POORLY, BENDING THE AMMO RATHER THAN ALLOWING IT TO FEED INTO THE CHAMBER. IT FINALLY BEGINS TO WORK CORRECTLY WHEN YOU GET DOWN TO THE LAST 10 SHELLS OR SO. THIS PRODUCT IS JUNK."

"I bought 4 Shooter's Ridge 50 rd. magazines and EVERY ONE OF THEM FAILED EVERY TIME! I took them back to Cabela's and they let me trade them in for the Steel Lips 25 round magazines and I LOVE THEM!!! They work great! I also bought the magazine loader and it works GREAT!! Excellent products both. The Steel Lips products are as good as the Shooter's Ridge products are garbage. Out of 1050 rounds that I have shot with this mags I had a few fail to feeds but that might have been because I over oiled my rifle and it got the mags a little dirty. I will clean them and try again."

"I bought one of these for my 10/22 and so far I am happy with it. It does not want to feed the first 4 rounds out of the 25 but once you get past that it will work flawlessly. My remedy for that is only put 20 rounds in the magazine."

you know that these are the best...so if you are even slightly considering the competition (if you can call it that!) because of price.....pay the extra $$ and get the quality that lasts, it is totally worth it!
Go with your gut and buy the STEEL lips version......I have a couple of Butler Creek 25 round polymer lip clips and they wore down after about 5,000 rounds and now they will consistently jam once I get down to about 5 rounds left. The springs are still good on them but the lips just wore out!
I highly recommend this product to all my friends"

"Good product. Far superior to the all plastic version. Feeds smoothly. The percentage of jams is directly proportionalt to the quality of the ammo - so I don't think the magazing is responsible for the jams. I have fired several bricks of quality ammo with zero jams using these magazines."

"This magazine shoots well sometimes on the first loading it will not feed the first round, but this can be remedied by leaving it at least partly loaded. It fits in the gun very solidly and actually inserts more smoothly than factory magazines do. It's the only one worth buying."
