"i highly recommend this item...
it is easy to load, and no more lead on your fingers!
one note, you must get used to the loading process, it only takes a couple of seconds, but once you do, you will be loading mags in no time.
also, it loads my 10 rd mags to my 25 rd mags with no problem.
truly wonderful!"

It's almost faster than handloading, and it jams!,

"I've had this loader for about 2 weeks. I've taken it to the range twice for 200 rounds each trip. During the first trip, it jammed after loading 8-9 rounds into the first BC steel-lip. When it jams, it throws a bullet sideways in the loader which cannot be quickly cleared. Took it home, cleared it and returned a few days later. Lasted longer, loaded a steel-lip 4-5 times and got a decent rhythm to keep it working. The technique is slightly faster than by hand, but it eventually jammed again with a sideways round choking the feed path. The only thing this loader does well is it keeps your fingers clean... Until it jams and you go back to hand loading."

"my friend has one that I used for a weekand squirrel hunting. it worked great way faster and easier than hand loading. I purschaed mine the day i got back. they work great and there easy to use."

"DO NOT BUY THE SHOOTER'S RIDGE LOADER. This is the one that works. I bought the Shooter's Ridge loader and magazines and traded them all in for the Hot Lips loader and magazine. The Shooter's Ridge Loader broke apart on the third magazine and the magazines all failed and jammed up. They failed every time they were used. The Hot Lips magazines worked great every time. Such a HUGE difference between the two products. It would be cool to have a 50 rd magazine but the Shooter's Ridge only gave me one shot per magazine before they jammed. ONE SHOT! Hot Lips good. Shooter's Ridge bad, very, very bad."

"Great loader. Works on factory ruger 10/22 mags and hot lips / steel lips like a charm. It took all of 2 minutes to 'get the hang of it' and then could load ~ 25rd mag in less than 15 seconds. No black thumbs anymore.
Heads up: Don't use waxed ammo such as blazer. This wax residue greatly inhibits correct performance of the loader. If you do use it, clean the loader thoroughly with some cleaner paper towels and q tips to get it working correctly again."

"I bought this loader to aid in loading my Steel Lips High Capacity Mags and I have found that its a hit or miss endeavor when it works it works well, it seems to me some ammo will load better than others I'm still trying to find that perfect load and when it doesn't load right it just bends the case to the point that the round has to be extracted your experience may be different."

"decent product. takes some using to get the hang of it, but it definitely saves your fingers and is nice for quick reloading whether you're in the field or sitting down at the range. only problems: the loader may gouge the last inserted round if you accidentally try to load one too many rounds, causing the would be last round to fall out of the loader once the full magazine is removed. otherwise, it's a good buy."

"I am not impressed with this product. The ammo jams up going into the magazine. If everything isn't just right, the pusher will actually smash the 22 ammo up and jam the magazine up as well. You have to work the loader very slow. I found doing it by hand was faster. Waste of money in my book."

"This loader is so easy. I received mine today, read the instructions briefly and promptly loaded 25 rounds in the Steel lips mag...took about 25 seconds to load it ( I expect to get even faster)...much easier than I thought...no more sore fingers!!"

"The loader works OK - nothing special. Takes some jiggling but it beats doing it by hand, though not any faster.
I would suggest spending the extra money and getting steel lips mags, not plastic hot lips for use with the loader. I've got six 25 rounder hot lip mags - from 3 different sources in different colors. They are not very reliable. Certainly nothing like the factory 10 round rotary mags."

"In theory the concept is good, however when loading the magazine, it does not lock into the feeder when you are turning the knob to load the magazine. If you don't hold it exactly at the perfect angle, the bullets will not feed.They should put on a rubber band or clip on the feeder to take care of this problem & then it would be A1."

"This is a great product! It takes a little practice to make it load properly ( turn the wheel back, then forward to load each round) but it sure saves you time and wear and tear on the fingers. This is a must for any serious 10-22 shooter."
