"Very heavy duty. I had a plastic folding stock before that cracked at the screw joint. This one is much sturdier and should last forever. It is heavier than my older one. The installation was more difficult, very tight fit, had to perform some small sanding. The magazines don't lock in as easily, prob some more modification - it is a tight fitting stock!"

Holes in the side of the stock.,

"The stock has two holes drilled in the side that are not needed. I had to buy the support bracket, two washers and two screws on line for $ 30.00 dollars. The Butler Creek stock is made to replace only a wooden stock! They need to make a stock with no holes in the side for the guns with plastic stocks. Butler Creek could have put the parts with the stock for about eight dollars.."

"I bought this for a Mini 30 with serial number starting with 189. First off the one I recieved had several rust spots on the metal folding back section. Instead of sending it back I sanded it down and re-painted it. Assembly was very tight and several time I thought it wasn't going to fit but I eventially got it together. Overall the finished product looks very nice and feels great."

Great stock for the Mini-14,

"I just purchased this stock and I am very pleased with it. It is solid and locks open/closed well. The only issues I have had with it is that sometimes with the stock closed it is hard to push the button to open it. (for me it's not a big deal. I just squeeze the stock toward the gun and presto, I can push the button.) After opperating it several times the folding action wasn't quite as smooth as it had been originally, but the feel has stayed the same after that. I think it was just getting broke in because the feel has stayed the same after that first day. The install was very quick and easy. All you need is a screwdriver and about fifteen minutes. Overall, I think it is a great stock that works well and also looks great. Oh yah, the storage compartment in the pistol grip is great for storing my tool for taking the gun down(very handy). I would definatly recommend this stock to anyone looking to get a pistol grip on thier mini or who just wants to make thier mini more compact."

"This is the second unit of this stock that I've bought. It is well built and the quaity is high. I've read other reviews of this product and others claim that fitting the rifle into the stock was difficult. I did not find this to be true. The fit is tight, that is as it should be, but it was not difficult to assemble. It is well worth the price."

"I am pleased with the addition of this product. The natural point of aim, body position, and point of impact are enhanced by the pistol grip and stock feature. It gives the mini more stability and shoots well from the prone, kneeling, sitting, and offhand positions.
Users may find that the trigger assembly fits snug at first. This will loosen up after a few times out on the range.
Pros: Enhances all shooting positions / Lightweight / compact for storage or transport
Cons: Price / slight pivoting in the hing"

"The stock has holes drilled in it. There are no holes on the original stock on my mini-30. I think they should specify model numbers and make the appropriate stock for that model. Not sure if other mini-30's have the screws above the trigger, but mine doesn't. I sent it back."

One Sweet Stock,

"What can I say? This stock is easy to install and extend. Best of all, it looks wicked. I have it on my stainless mini with a Millet Red Dot. Add a 40 rd magazine and you have a sweet looking and shooting rifle."
