Bell & Carlson,March 11, 2008
By garry1000from Rector Ar.
"I recently purchased a bell and carlson stock for my Ruger m-77 in 25-06. The old stock was starting to look rough so I began to search for a replacement. After searching for a while I came up with two choices and decided to go with the bell and carlson. I'm glad I did. The stock makes the gun look great and the stock functions even better than it looks. It cut my group size from an inch to half M.O.A. with factory ammo. I had to do some fitting in the barrel channel but that was expected as my rifle has a heavy barrel. Besides that it was a drop in replacement. The rifle recoils less now than it did with the factory wood stock and an expensive recoil pad. It also lightened the rifle a bit which is a plus. All in all its a great product and is exactly what i was looking for. I wouldn't change a thing if I could."

not so "drop-in" stock,October 23, 2007
By ORfishaholicfrom oregon
"Bought this stock for a weatherby lightweight. It is low cost but made of quality material but is in no way a drop-in fit. The stock is overly cut out so that it fits many rifles and requires glass bedding to get a good fit to your particular one. There is a 1/4 inch gap all the way around the action where it doesn't contact the stock. With the time and cost of fixing this it isn't any cheaper than just getting a truely custom drop-in stock from another manufacturer. For this application its more of a "project" type stock."

bell and carlson rifle stock,August 22, 2007
By bhodkifrom warrensburg,mo
"The tolerance on this stock that I bought for a ruger 77 mk II could have been a little better on the floor plate I had to remove a considerable amount of material to get the floor plate to operate properly; but the rest of the stock fit the gun good. The replacement stock is also a little shorter on the overall length than the factory stock."

Good Stock,March 9, 2007
By 375HH
"I purchased my b&c replacement stock for a ruger .243 that I was not happy with factory stock as it was the old type stock. The replacement stock fit perfectly without any mods needed. The stock was well finished and looked great. After installation I took it to the range and it shot as good as the old stock, with the new stock feeling much better in my hands. I have plans to buy one for a long action ruger also. You can't go wrong for the price and the fit & finish wasa great!"

bell and carlson stock,January 27, 2007
By larkinrrfrom Delta, Co
"I love the stock and the feel of it. It fits the gun great and the barel free floats a dollar bill. The pachmyr recoil pad is an awesome pad also. the only draw back was that I had to do a little modifying to get it to fit correctly. A dremmel did the job great. I had to dremmel where the trigger guard attached to stock because it was to tight of a fit."

Did not fit.,December 19, 2006
By Johnfofrom Spring, TX
"First stock received was completely wrong. Called Bell & Carlson for help and they said they could NOT help. Girl I talked to was very rude. Called Cabela's and they sent me another one. This one a little better but finally had to get gunsmith to fit it (safety would not work). As usual Cabela's customer service was excellent but would never purchase another product made Bell & Carlson."

taking stock,November 13, 2006

"The replacement stock gave me a better cheek weld and a much better recoil pad. Replacement was a snap. The stock fit well and was free from touching any side. It has improved my shooting by about 1/2 inch."
