"I purchased the stock figuring it would need minimal hand fitting. Three hours of inletting and hand fitting later, I had it mounted with proper clearances. I am still wondering how it will hold up to magnum recoil from the .338 Win Mag with no metal bedding in the stock, but we will see."

"This stock was purchased for a Ruger M77 short action tang safety rifle. It took significant amounts of Acraglas gel to bed the action. It is not a "drop in" fit. I knew that the barrel channel would be very large and require filler, but I didn't anticipate that the magazine well would be 1/16" too deep. The trigger guard and the floor plate hinge wouldn't contact the magazine box and receiver inletting was extremely tight. I made a false dam of Acraglas to retain the mag box. A coat of KRYLON flat black enamel finished it. I'm totally satisfied with the product, but for an original 77M, you best have some gunsmith experience. Note: I did not experience this much work on B&C stocks for Rem 700 or HOWA 1500 actions. These stocks are a very good value."

"With knowing drop in stocks still may require a bit of fitting I can honestly say I am very very pleased with my B&C stocks. I have several now. Great value.
Have had a few minor issues, but it was quickly taken care of with a phone call.

"Action would not fit in stock, call to BanC was a disaster-phone answerer tried to relay useless info from unknown source, unable to talk to any informed person. Cabelas offered replacement or refund, am awaiting estimate from gunsmith as to fitting costs which with purchase price may exceed cost of quality product. Cabelas should consider another source!"

"extremely disappointed. first thing was not drop in fit. second thing once i screwed stock to receiver/barrel could not work bolt, third only one screw whole in stock to secure trigger guard which requires 2. last but not least stock was advertised to be 32 oz, the stock was almost 11oz over weight. So much for getting what you pay for. sending back for a refund."
