"YAY! No more bruised shoulders! I'm kind of small framed, and this recoil pad was exactly what I needed to absorb any kick to my shoulder, plus it gave me just the right amount of added lift I needed for my head placement and correct shooting posture. "This product has extended my shooting experiance and it fits my shoulder like a glove. I had broken my clavical and even though it has healed I was unable to shoot for any lenght of time untill I purchased the Cabela's Recoil Pad."

"Wrap around shoulder fit is very comfortable and prevents butt of rifle stock from sliding off pad onto unprotected shoulder. Could use a tie down strap to secure to belt on the off side and to prevent it from moving around."

"The day I got this pad I went out to the range and fired 80 rounds of 180 grain .30-06 from a standard military 03-A3 with a straight stock. The recoil impact to my shoulder was minimal and even during the 70th shot, I was not flinching from recoil. Great product."

"Some days at the range are just brutal if you mount your rifle badly shooting from a bench and as specialy when you are firing large magnum loads. This would assist in not developing a flinch with newer shooters. It can be warn under a light jacket should you desire. It is not very bulky and reduced the felt recoil. I would not recommend it for a hunting/field application but it is a useful tool at the range and would have application with shot gun and rifle shooting. I will not hesitate to buy another when and if I should wear this one out."

"I bought this recoil pad since I shoot sporting clays and am sensitive to recoil. The pad did the job for the area that was covered. It won't protect your upper arm. Also, the pad does not really allow for easy fit for smaller stature men. I had to put it as small as it goes and it still is a little loose (I'm 5'10")."

Excellent Pad,

"I highly recommend this pad. I recently injured my right shoulder and was finding it difficult to use the arm. I had a shooting lesson shortly after this and told my instructor that I would be using the pad (first time) but that I might need to cut the lesson short. I was able to go through 50 rounds without a single issue. Also, I had been noticing that after 50 rounds of so, I had been starting to develop a flinch. The second time I used the pad, I was able to go through 75 rounds with no issues at all. And I didn't have any soreness the next day. This is a well made and very effective pad. If you're considering buying one, go for it."

"I took this on a dove shoot in South America. The pad worked fine, as long as you shoot under 1000 shells per day. It is made of a thin (about 1/4") sorbathane type material covered by sueded leather. It works best when put between an undershirt & overshirt. Otherwise, the shirt material will bunch underneath the pad & create a pinch. Any more than 1000 shells a day & you need a thicker pad."

Great Pad for Magnum recoil,

"The pad is very well made with tight stitching. Thepad is just thick enough to be comfortable to wear and provide additional recoil absorbtion from the rifles. It fit snug enough and did not move around. I wore it both over the shirt and under. When worn under, you can't tell that you are wearing the pad. Comfortable for a whole day wear at the range. Worked very well with my heavy recoil Magnum rifles. It made the shooting day a whole lot better."

"I was greatly surprised the extent that this pad had on recoil, I've used it with slug, muzzle, and shotgun, and thru many shot's I found that it reduced the usual kick down to a slight bump which cured my flinching, and sore shoulder, and follow up shot's are no problem now."

"Works very well for sighting in my 12 ga slug gun and general shooting at the range with my long rifles. In the past few years I've taken the shoulder abuse from the shotgun shooting magnums wearing just a tee shirt and decided this year to break down and buy some padding to have some mercy on my body (I'm not getting any younger...). Works well, is not too bulky and really does absorb most of the recoil. I usually developed a bruise on my shoulder the next day following a couple hours and a a few magnum shells through the shotgun but this year, no bruise and really a much more pleasant time at the range. Bring on the deer!"
