Kick Killer Pad for Parker Shotgun,
August 17, 2009
By LCE1
from Indiana
|
"Purchased this butt pad for my family's 100 year old antique Parker 12 gauge side by side. Shooting trap with this gun was really bruising up my shoulder despite using a vest with a shoulder pad. The lace up pad really reduced the kick of this brute of a gun and made the trap shoot a lot more fun. Thanks, Len"

"I used this on my Lee Enfiled No 5 Jungle Carbine, it took the holy s**t factor out of the kick of my rifle for sure. I was able to put 60 rounds through it an no bruises or pain afterward. It fit really well and the quality was what I had expected."

Kick Killer Lace-up butt pad,
July 13, 2009
By Super07
from San Antonio, Texas
|
"I used this product on 2 guns. Remmington 700 in 30.06 and a Browning OU 20 ga. The fit was perfect and the reduction in recoil was very good. I like the look of the lace up but if you are going to swap the pad between guns the velcro would be more convient. The leather is soft and comfortable. I will be buying more of these pads for some of my other guns. I bought one for a friend and he really likes it on his Browning 20 ga."

Kick Killer Lace-up butt pad,
June 16, 2009
By mtngrousehunter
from Central Cascades, WA

"I needed to extend the stock on my 112-year old Belgian hammergun without changing the stock itself; the lace up pad kept the "period" look of the weapon, provided the needed extension, was simple to lace on, and fit the bill entirely. Recoil on the little 28bore isn't a factor, so I can't comment on that factor, but esthetically and with regard to getting a better fit on the gun, outstanding-and it looks great, too!"

H&R 1871 Buffalo Classic Rifle - Butt Pad,
May 4, 2009
By ChiefBuffalo
from Hillbilly Mountain, Georgia
|
"I recently purchased the Kick Killer Butt Pad for my H&R 1871 Buffalo Classic Rifle. Nice fit to the stock with no modification. The pad absorbs all the kinetic energy that is transimitted through the firing mechanism to the stock. In otherwords, the pads absorbtion of energy creates a low coil action to the shoulder of the shooter.
Great product and keep a shootin.
Buffalo Hunter Fred"

awesome pad,

"I have a ruger m77 mk2 7mm rem mag and this pad sucked out approximately 50 - 70% of the felt recoil. I shot a box of federal premium shells with no problem and still could have kept shooting. If you have a magnum gun it cant be beat. It does not change your eye relief or your shooting form."

kick killer lace up butt pad,
April 21, 2009
By longshotz
from Maple Ridge BC Canada
|
"The concept behind the pad is a good one and it must work for enough shooters since the pad seems very popular. Perhaps on most shotguns it fills the bill. In my case it came up short. Myself I found the overall quality below what the photo would have you believe. The stitching is one seam only and is bound to let go over a period of time depending on use. The leather is raw cut on the edges and not folded over for that finished look. Sizing was a problem for me. My Gold Fusion 12 gauge was of a size that was too small for the small/medium and too large for medium. The large was way to large. No listed size fitted properly. The recoil absorbing material lacked resilience, felt more like medium density foam padding vs. the more denser and firmer material on my other slip on type pads from other manufactures."

Lace up Butt Pad,
April 7, 2009
By shack1030
from Fredericksburg, VA

"Used it on my shotgun. Since the butt of the shotgun was altered, I had to trim the sleeve to fit properly. I use it in Cowboy action shooting. I added some decorative lacing and it looks somewhat "period". Absorbs the shock. Quality product, but a little pricey."

"A good authentic recoil pad. Looks really good on my IAC copy of an 1878 Coach gun. A whole lot softer than the hard rubber pad that came on the gun. Should soak up the recoil of heavy loads. I would recommend it to anyone."

Kick Killer makes reduces recoil,
March 3, 2009
By BuckshotDan
from East Tennessee
|
"I have five of the lace-up recoil pads on some of my 12 gauge shotguns and they really work and look great.
I am a 64 yr old shooter and can't take the punishment of heavy recoil any more. I am retired and go to the range several days a week to keep my shooting skills up. Alot of my shooting is is done with 12 Gauge Buck Shot and 1 - 1 1/4 oz slugs in combat shotguns.
Before I put on the recoil pads I would be sore after shooting 40 - 50 rounds of this ammo. With the recoil pads on my guns, I can shot all I want and do not suffer from the recoil as before.
The only 2 guns that still have a lot of recoil are a 6 lb. Rossi Turkey Special with Fiocchi 3 1/2 inch 2 3/8 oz Golden Turkey ammunition. This gun/ammunition combo are no fun to shot. Too much lead and powder for a light single shot shotgun.
The other is a recoil operated Semi-Auto Benelli SBE II that I shot these and other heavy 3 1/2 inch lead ammo in and the Kick Killer does make them more managable but still a pretty heavy recoil. When shooting the lighter steel shoot loads, the recoil is not bad at all. Recoil operated shotguns do kick more than gas operated shotguns.
The other guns I have them installed on are gas operated Semi-Auto combat shotguns: FN SLP, Remington 1100 Special and a SKB XL 100 with 18.5 -- 21 inch barrels. I only shot 2 3/4 inch Buck Shot and Slugs in them. Here is where the Kick Killer really proves it's self. I can shot all I want without getting sore any more.
The Kick Killer Recoil Pad Does Work!!!!"

Kick Killer Lace-Up Pad,

"The Kick Killer pad (XS) works very well on all Winchester 92 and 92 copies. I did punch a second string of holes to make it fit a little more snugly on one 92 copy. Takes the sting of the steel butplate out of the equation."
