one step, November 13, 2009

"This thrower for the money is amazing. I had one of those cheap ones that would bring up a sweat after about 3 or 4 pulls. Both my wife and I shoot so I had to set it for both of
us. One time out was all i needed to know I had to find
something better. I read all the reviews on the one step
and discided to give it a try. We have thrown over 1500
clays with it and have no complaints. My wife throws clay
after clay for me and has no trouble at all. This trius one
step is a great machine.

Flys Great - a LOT of Fun., November 8, 2009
By Betowess from Skagit County, WA

"My box had the newer instructions (March 2009) and it put together quite easily, once I figured out the concept. The photo on the box helps a bit too.

We had great fun with this today and I figure many more afternoons with friends shooting clays is a great investment since its a great way to entertain - for not too much money in ammo and clays. I'm very impressed with the design and quality. It does work better with one clay pidgeon than two. Highly recommended!

Tirius one step trap, September 30, 2009
By j4g

"Simple to use and set up. Arm is not set under tension, so don't have to worry about throwing arm releasing to soon. You do have to put moderate pressure on the foot pedal to throw rocks. Spring tension and throwing angles easily changed."

Great Fun, September 18, 2009
By MarkBT

"Took on a recent shooting trip to the Nevada desert, and put over two boxes of birds through it, mostly doubles. Birds got good height and distance, and very few of them broke. Great fun.

Assembly is a little difficult, use the photo as well as the instructions to work out what goes where, once you have it worked out takes about 5 minutes. If you take into an area with gravel consider also taking a small piece of wood to put under the back foot, just to stop the odd piece of gravel entering into the step mechanism and preventing the step from traveling fully. Otherwise performed flawlessly

Trius One Step Trap, September 10, 2009
By Rip01 from Oklahoma city

"I purchased this item to use shooting targets with my thirteen year old Grandson. The One Step worked very well after we got it put together. I have to say the instructions and operational explanation were very poor, if it hadn't of been for a fairly good picture on the box it would have been almost impossible to assemble unless you had previous experience putting one together. Suggestion to Trius re-work your instructions with input from someone who is inexperienced putting this model together."

Trius One Step, August 29, 2009
By djbalzerf from Shorewood, IL

"Took it out this morning for first use. Will throw birds at speeds similar to commercial trap throwers. Easy to load and much safer than older models that required cocking with spring under pressure. Well built. Can't wait to take it out again."

Great unit for money, August 23, 2009
By rtrt from St. louis, MO

"Purchased this item after reading other reviews. The unit itself works great, enjoyed using it with family. As noted in other reviews, my only "negative" comment about this unit would be the instructions that are included. Best to look at the box and work it out, but once done, it worked flawlessly. Can't go wrong on this item !"

The One Step is great!, August 23, 2009
By MMcCollum from St. Louis, MO

"Yes! Now I can go shooting anytime I want and I don't have find someone to throw for me. I just load the One Step, stomp, and shoot, by myself!

My only complaint is I wish the front balance leg was easily removable. It doesn't fit assembled in my cars trunk, so I have to take a couple of wrenches with me to add/remove it for travel, but that is not really that big of a deal. That's the only reason I didn't give it 5 stars.

Terrific Trius, August 10, 2009
By Andy333 from Pennsylvania

"The Trius One-Step was easy to set up. The next day I tested it out at the range. It throws birds well; it has four different settings, so it enables the shooter to practice a variety of shots. It also throws a nice double. All you have to do is stack the claybirds on top of one another. A few weeks ago we shot upwards of 300 rounds and the Trius was great from the first bird to the last. Everyone in the party was impressed with it. It threw better than all the other throwers we had that day. The fact that I can shoot alone now is invaluable. I did not encounter any major problems with the Trius. It's easy to assemble out of the box. I would recommend using the directions, but also, look at the picture on the box for a better visual. If you are having any problems with the birds breaking on the throw, make sure they are touching the black rubber stripping on the thrower. I have been happy with this product. It was money well spent."

solid construction, horrible instructions, August 10, 2009
By pistolgrippump from Seattle

"This is a good product. It works well, it is compact, and it is built solidly. But, even though it only has a small handful of fasteners, it took me almost an hour to put it together. The included instructions are awful..."

By Shami from Utah, still get to enjoy target shooting

"What can I add to the reviews already sent in. This is the best I have ever used. My sons and I have thrown about 200 birds with out any breaking and even doubles worked great. This thrower will throw over 50 yards. Thanks for a great product."

One step skeet thrower, June 16, 2009
By hollowguy from Vermont

"Device works well--throws straight and long. Operation is easy.
However, assembly was a bear--holes did not line up, and we had finally to forget one hole. Directions were unclear.

Trius one step trap, May 27, 2009
By Anonymous from Brisbane Australia.

"Easy to use. Use the picture on the box rather than the instructions to put it together. It throws very well in all directions with minimal effort. It fits in the boot of my little car and is quite light to carry. I will be putting some improved anchor points on it though because it does move around during use, this doesn't REALLY hinder the use of it that much though. The delivery to Australia was remarkably quick and painless.
If you want the ability to shoot alone, you will not regret buying one of these.
I love it.

Excellent Product, May 3, 2009
By wvengineer from West Virginia

"I am really impressed with this thrower. I'll often times shoot alone, and this thrower is ideal for me. It's lightweight and easy to take to the range. It throws well, and doesn't wear you out. I'm not real sure about it's ability to throw doubles, but that's not a deal breaker for me. The instructions are lacking, but it's so simple from the picture on the box it's obvious how it goes together. I've thrown four boxes of targets, and it hasn't broken one yet."

Trius One Step Trap, April 7, 2009
By shack1030 from Fredericksburg, VA

"Well built. If you want to shoot trap without assistance of another shooter, this is the unit for you. Load the trap by pulling the throw arm back - no real spring tension. Load the trap. Ready to shoot - step on the cocking mechanism which sets the spring, when it reaches a certain point, the trap arm throws forward. I highly recommend this unit."

Prius 1-step, March 22, 2009
By Durock from Southern California.

"I just bought my first shotgun but I often go to the range by myself. While researching throwers I came across this product. It is everything it claims to be. I have taken it out a few times and it works great. It is so simple to use by myself. My wife has joined me on one trip to the range and because of her good experience with the 1-step she now wants her own shotgun!"
