Nosler bullets,
October 27, 2009
By nehunter0103
from Southeast South Dakota

"I have tried many bullets as I reload all my rifle shells for hunting and target purposes. I shoot these bullets in all my rifles and also use the partion too. These Nosler Ballistic Tip boattail bullets have supurb expansion. I tried many different bullets and once I tried loading these Nosler I found that they were to be the most accurate. I load all my rifle shells and by doing so it gives you a more accurate load, for every shell is the same."

"Like all Nosler products I have used, the 80 gr. 243 BT sets a standard. Middle of the pack, it has taken the longest range prairie dogs, devastating on coyotes, and clean one shot kills on all deer sized game at all distanes called upon. TDH"

Nosler ballistic tips,
August 24, 2009
By bonaski
from Lehi, Utah
|
"I have recently started reloading so I am no expert by any means. I find that all of the Nosler ballistic tip bullets are extremely accurate. I have not had the opportunity to shoot a deer or elk until this year and am looking forward to see how they work. So far I have shot targets at 200 yards and they seem to be very consistant. I feel extremely confident at the accuracy of the Nosler ballistic tip bullets. I have tried partition spitzer bullets and they don't seem to fly as straight as the ballistic tips. Nosler ballistic tips are the bullet of choice for me."

Nosler .243 90 gr Ballistic Tip,
January 20, 2009
By Goatcamp
from Outdoorsman and outdoor worker in SW Kansas
|
"Great bullet in .243 Win. Extremely accurate, 1 3/8" group at 300 yds. from 700 Remington ADL. Complete pass through on 10 pt white-tail at 297 yds. Broke rib on entry and another on exit. DRT. This is by far the best all-round bullet that I have tested in .243 Winchester caliber. Highly recommend it."

Over Priced and will go Back to Hornady 58 Grain,
January 6, 2009
By BLASTER5
from Up State New York where the Hunting is FANTASTIC
|
"The Over Priced 55 Grain "Noslers 3 Star", "Hornady 5 Star" And Do Not do any Better than the Hornady 58 grain V-Max Pro-Jo's That is why Hornady Made them 58 grains They have a reason Why and Now i see why the 55 Grain is just that Much to light and that 3 Grains makes all the difference in the ballistics.. So i am Going back to the 58 Grain V-MAX Projectiles and save a a lot and still get the same Performance as the Over priced Nosler bullets .. They are not Worth it and the Winchester WSSM Likes this Food So Much better than the 55 grain Noslers .. So Hornady Gets the Nod again and i just wish Cabelas Would Stock more of the inventory and also More of the New Flex tip bullets that Hornady is now selling and so are the Other Venders at different Sources .. Need to Play catch up and that way i can Just Do all my One stop shopping at Cabelas.. The Other Sources, that you pay way to much for the handling charge as well as the Shipping, so Cables Is the Perfect place to buy from just Need to Get a better supply Of bullets for Reloaders.. Blaster"

"I used my handload 95 Nosler BT and IMR 4350 powder ,to take the biggest antelope I ever shot.360 yards and one shot from my Browning 243.The bullet went thru the left shoulder and passed thru the right shoulder lodging against the hide on the right side with perfect expansion. The goat never made a step. These will be the only bullets I will shoot from my 243 ,accurate and deadly."

"some people say that a .243 is too small of a rifle for deer hunting. I disagree strongly if the right bullet is used. I've been using the nosler ballistic tipped bullet for several years now. The 95 grain bullet has dropped every deer i shot right in its tracks. Great bullet, flies accurate as any bullet i shot."

Nosler 80 Gr BT,
May 27, 2008
By moonzapa
from Dallas, TX
|
"I've used the Nosler 80 Gr Ballistic Tips in .243 Win. cal for quite some time now and have found them to be extremely accurate in my heavy bbl Mauser 98 using RL-19 powder. Don't let the purple tips fool you, they are one mean bullet! On a recent prairie dog hunt I found them to be devastating. My next hunt will be on Coyotes, and I'm optimistic that these will get the job done."

Nosler Ballistic Tip® Boat Tail Bullets - 6mm,
September 11, 2007
By GK2006
from California
|
"Had started to work up loads and compare them with some factory loads, in particular one that used the Nosler BT boat tail bullets. My rifle shot the factory loads pretty good and I wanted to either duplicate this load or get more. I found out the factory stopped using this bullet in their loads so the logical alternative was to work up a comparable load. These have worked great on targets and have yet to try them on game, but have good expectations. I have had very good results using Nosler bullets and this bullet followed suit. Note that I used the 95 gr bullets which was also the same weight that was used in the factory load."

Effectivness of the Nosler Ballistic tip,
November 22, 2006
By Husker41
from AZ
|
"I loaded the rounds for my 243 with Nosler Ballistic tips with a muzzle velosity of 3100 fps. When the rifle was sited in with these bullets they held a group of less than .5 inch at 100 yards. I went deer hunting with 2 other people that were shooting 243's so I let them use some of the ammo that I had reloaded. One individual shot a buck at appx 75 yards it was a clean heart shot the buck went 10 feet and dropped. The next individual shot one at 125 yards this was also a clean shot and the buck dropped in its tracks. I shot my deer at 225 yards and the buck went maybe 15 yards before dropping. We have used Nosler Ballistic tips in other calibers (.223,.270 and .30) and have had very good results with them. The effectivness of this bullet will allow me to put up my 30-06 and save it for Elk and larger animals."
