"Excellent gun, very heavy and well built, lots of power, unbelievable accuracy. I would recomend it to anyone who is looking to do some animal control around the house. The only draw back is the size of the front sight, it's a little big. I wish it was about half as thick, but I think I'm going to mount a scope on it and that won't matter anyway. I highly recomend this rifle to anyone who is looking for a good pellet gun."

"very well built rifle. a little heavy but a solid rifle. just a tad hard to load with large hands. trigger is very good ,sights are hard to see i need bifocals so i mounted a scope on this rifle. this should make a fine rifle. the model 48 is the same rifle without checkering . cant go wrong with this rifle."

"I spent a lot of time looking for the best price on the internet for this specific make and model. Cabelas had the best price!
This gun is extremely accurate but you have pay attention to a couple of things that are not mentioned in the users manual that comes with the gun.

1. I put on my own Bushnell Air rifle scope with the included dovetail rings and started shooting the gun. I had a terrible time getting it to zero in and finally discovered that even though I had really tightened down the rings, they were creeping backward because of the rifle recoil. There is a stop at the rear of the scope mounting rail and when the scope base finally reached that and stopped creeping, suddenly the whole thing zeroed in and I started shooting very tight groups (1/2" or better) at 45 ft.

2. The other thing is don't buy cheap pellets and try a couple different brands until you find the one that works best. I have had really good accuracy with RWS flat nosed pellets, but I am sure that there are other good brands out there as well.
