"Ammo works great in a Henry repeater and a Marlin bolt action. By the way I ordered 12 boxes and would have loved to get a free ammo can like the other deals. Funny thing was 12 boxes was cheaper that 10 of the other .17HMR ammo on sale with the ammo box. Go Figure!?!?"

"I have bought several other brands of ammo for my Savage 93R17FV rifle but I find that CCI V-Max is the best ammo to use for target practice or shooting those little critters. My rifle seems to like the CCI ammo best as well. As the Marines say "one shot on kill". If I could only shoot as accurate as my rifle is designed for I would be thrilled. There is no need to look further than CCI ammo, besides the other brands cost more, even when they are on sale. Check it out for yourself.
I am waiting for another Cabela's sale on CCI .17 HMR ammo so I can stock up on another 1K rounds I would recommend that you do that same.....good shooting!!

"If you have a CZ in .17 HMR, try the Vmax version of the CCIs. With a 14X Sightron mounted on a CZ 453 Varminter in light to no wind, I shoot consistent half inch or less groups at 100 yds. Great price on them now at Cabela's."

"Same results as the Federal, I think CCI makes all the .17 HMR. Shot 100 rounds (Savage on a bi-pod, not a rest) and grouped about an inch, at worst. Most accurate combination I've ever shot."

"I did everything everyone told me to do when I got my new Volquartsen 17 HMR. I bought a box of everything it could shoot. Every one of them, even though I was told that CCI makes them all, the loads were supposed to vary. I have a little range at the house....45 and 90 yards. After only 10 rounds to site in at 45, I shot 60 (5) shot groups and 6 (10) shot groups, just bore snaking after every 100 rounds or so. I used the basic 6 spot 100 yd. benchrest targets, and let 'em rip. Basically, I can't tell much difference in any of them! It was fairly windy 6- 12 mph diagonal, going away. But I shot 3/8" groups with most everything at 45, with several 1/4" or better overall. Then I shot what I figured to be the best loads at 90, and they all shot under an inch, most around 3/4", a couple close to 1/2". With the wind, and my set-up, that's as good as I can shoot with anything. I've always been a big fan of CCI in my 10/22 race rifles, and since most everyone uses the same bullets, and the variety is getting bigger by the day....I figure I may as well stick with the guys that actually make 'em."

"I have been a big fan of the .17 H.M.R. right from the beginnings of this cartridge. To date, I have owned (4) four .17 H.M.R rifles and have extensive experience with this particular caliber. I hear quite a few complaints about the V-MAX bullets "blowing up" upon impact, especially in this configuration. A .17 H.M.R. (in all reality) is ONLY a small varmint rifle so therefore I see NO NEED for the 20 grain bullets, etc. I have ALWAYS had good performance from using CCI ammo. These rounds get 5 stars..!!"

"These work great in my Savage with a 2-7 Leupold rimfire scope. The Gamepoints are better for hunting as the V-Max put shrapnel all through the meat. At 50 yards I am looking at .25" or less groups. At 100 yards you are looking between .5" to .75" depending on wind. The other good thing is that at 50 yards the V-Max and Gamepoints have virtually the same point of impact."

"I put 200 rounds of the .17 HMR CCI TNTs through my Savage Model 93GV and have had really good accuracy. Only problem I have run into with this ammo is that approx. 1 round per box will not fire. I have used Hornady and Winchester Supreme with no misfires."

"The CCI FMJ's might not have too many uses, but at longer ranges, the penetration is outstanding compared to all the other loadings. Accuracy is pretty good as well... not quite as good as the V-MAX, but still very good nonetheless."
