Shells that "work on " Pheasants,November 19, 2009
By Jebsdaddy
"I have tried a number of shells and these are the ones I have used exclusively over the past 4 years. Am I a better shot now or am I using better shells? I would like to think the former but afraid it is the latter."

20ga Fiocchi Golden Pheasant,November 18, 2009
By MOLouiefrom Missouri
"I wanted to use my 20ga. this season on pheasant. I chose Fiocchi 20ga. 1 oz. #6 nickle shot at 1245 fps. The results were solid kills up to 40 yds. The wound chanels were free of feathers and the shot in the breasts penetrated to the bone."

Pheasant Shells,November 2, 2009
By gretnaj
"Bought these for opening weekend in South Dakota. First time I ever bought anything other than standard shells.
Really couldn't tell any difference from the shells I have purchased in the past for half the price. Did not see any difference in patterning or in knock down power.
Still pretty much comes down to taking and making good shots. Will probably be back to my standard shells from here on out."

Extreme corrision of brass,October 17, 2009
By 1952vincentfrom Huntingdon, TN
"I purchased several boxes of these shells last pheasant season. Left over shells stored in my garage are now extremely corroded. I really think these are good shells if you don't plan on carring any over to next season. If you purchase any, just throw away what you don't use. No sense wasting your time carring them home and storing them. The same thing happened to the Fiocchi turkey shells purchased last spring. They have corroded after only 6 months."

Fiocchi Golden Pheasant 3" 20 Gauge #4 Shot,October 12, 2009
By Dave51dfrom Rocky Hill, CT
"I recently purchased a box of these shells from Cabelas and test-patterned them in one of my shotguns. The pattern I experienced with full choke at 15 yards was dense enough to send any gobbler (much less a big rooster) to bird heaven! I appreciate the nickel-plated shot which should limit deformed pellets and ensure lethal penetration with long range shots. I'm planning a trip to the Midwest and will be sure to take along these shells for those long cornfield shots at big roosters!"

fiocchi golden pheasant ammo,October 1, 2009
By fezantfrom Montana
"Of all the hunting shotgun ammo I have used this is the best. The option of a 7/8 oz. load in 28 ga. makes my 28 think it is a 20. It is very spendy but worth as it reduces crippled but lost birds."

Dirty Little Secret for the Turkey Hunter,February 21, 2009
By Deertailfrom Pepin, WI
"These shells pattern tight coming out of my model 1100 with turkey choke tube. On a 3/4" plywood test board they penetrate nearly as well as Heavy Shot. I have killed several turkeys with these Fiocchi Pheasant loads. Spring and fall seasons.
From a turkey hunter's perspective these are very inexpensive high quality shells that come in box of 25 rather than the usual 5 in a "turkey" load. At this price you can do some serious practice shooting and hunt with the same load. Sweet.
Last spring my daughter used #6 2-3/4 in her single shot full choke 20 gauge. Dropped a 13 & 1/2" bearded gobbler at 25 yards. Double Sweet!"

Pheasants with Fiocchi (20gauge),January 1, 2009
By billbob76
"December 2008 was the first time for me to hunt pheasants, ever. Also, it was the first time I that I had used Fiocchi shells. Great ammo...I downed a rooster on my 2nd shot using 20 gauge o/u with Improved choke, No. 5 shot, 3" shell with max DRAM, 25 yards with 25-30 mph winds (20 minutes NE of Lubbock, TX). I'm a Fiocchi believer!"

great ammo,September 10, 2008
By craigpofrom Missouri
"These shells are the best pheasant loads I have found. I believe that these shells really drop pheasants better than any others. (I use the #5 shot). I hunt both quail and pheasant, and every season I buy a case of fiocchi's pheasant loads and a case of their #8 shot for quail. In the last five years, I have had maybe 1 bad primer from all of these shells. I don't recommend much gear, but fiocchi makes the best upland shotgun shells you can buy, and I don't hunt with any other brand."

Blue Whistlers,September 8, 2008
By gunnerfromnormanfrom Norman OK
"My hunting buddy and I both shoot 16 ga. Winchester Model 12s and hunt pheasant widely in Kansas and South Dakota and like to shoot number 5s. The Fiocchi Golden Pheasant loads are a high-brass one and one eighth of nickle coated fives are just the right combination to take ring necks in every circumstance--in the tight cover of shelter belts or in open cornfields and CRP. We buy them by the case which is an endorsement in and of itself."

They work on turkeys too!,August 25, 2008
By GobblerGhostMakerfrom Ukiah, California
"This spring got a last minute offer to turkey hunt, but only had a box of Fiocchi Golden Pheasant 12 Gauge 2 3/4" #5's on hand. Using a New England Firearms Pardner single shot w/a Kick's choke (.665), I called a 22 lb. Tom in to about 40 yards and just absolutely dumped him! The pellets that hit the head and neck were all pass-throughs. That nickel-plated shot is something else! Several weeks later I took my gun to the range and patterned it with this load. My gun/choke loves this load. They are cheaper than turkey loads, and easier on the shoulder too. They get the job done."

Worth every cent!,December 15, 2006
By Bullfrogfrom Casper, WY
"This is the only shotgun shell that I use on my annual pheasant hunting trips to South Dakota. I usually hunt the late season. The birds are wild. This is a shotgun shell that hits hard and brings them down. You might pay a little more for this shell, but it's worth it!"

Fiocchi Golden Pheasant Ammunition,November 28, 2006
By Johngeorgefrom Perrysburg, Ohio
"I used the Golden Pheasant Ammunition for the first time in South Dakota. The 3" 20 mags had great impact power on the birds. I had total confidence in this product, and my take home bag each day proved that. I had a better one shot kill ratio then the guys using other brands of shells, and using larger guage shotguns. I will be going back to hunt the wild birds of South Dakota and will have Golden Pheasent shell in my coat. Great Product. I know some of the other guys have already switched to Fiocchi for are next hunt."
