"I'm not a marksman by any stretch of the imagination - but even I can hold a 5-shot group within the diameter of a U.S. quarter from a bench rest from my 1893 lever-action Marlin .44 Mag w/ 3-9x 40 Nikon scope w/ this ammo.
With the gun bullseyed @ 100 yards, it's 1 inch high at 50 yards. Pretty darn flat for a handgun round! Also, still has about 1,000 ft-lbs. of kinetic energy at 130 yards - well within the recommended energy for a clean kill for whitetail and within the usual ranges here in South-Central Indiana.
I haven't taken a deer w/ it yet - but hope to get another chance this autumn. Stopping power should be great w/ the jacketed hollow point (JHP)."

"These shells are very accurate....even shooting open sights at about 30 yards. Love to see what could be achieved out of a RUGER super redhawk with a good scope. Best shells you can buy for this round and at the lowest price!!"

"The ammo is very good, but the customer service was even better. I was waiting for some 7.62 ammo online for 3 mons. I found the ammo at the store in gozalas La. Customer sevice was very good to let me get the ammo there at the same price. And I do tell other people about cabelas."

"The rounds fire cleanly and feed well in my Glock. Haven't done any ballistic tests so I don't know how well they open up on impact. Can't usually find .357 Sig self-defense ammo in sporting goods section of department stores so these are a good value."

"Hornady has always provided the shooter with quality ammo.
I prefer the Custom Ammo for my defense loads. The .38+P for home and the .357 out in the field.
Both rounds shoot very well and cleaning is easier than with other ammo I've used.
It would be nice to have the Custom Ammo available in 50 rd. box."

"These rds work perfectly in my Charles Daly 1911 45 Auto. Not all manufactured ammo works in any particular handgun. Strike point on target was exactly the same as with FMJ Ball ammo. A useful piece of information."

"Cabelas recommended this product in 240 gr. for the Ruger SRH Alaskan for personal defense and the bigger stuff for bears. I can attest that these are by far the best that has come from that 2in. barrel. Plenty of horsepower and awesome bark, easy on the hands beleive it or not! It definitely gets the attention of other shooters on the indoor range! Would definitely rely on these in the instant it was needed.
