Shot gun slides,

"Upon receipt, the shotgun loops were too tight. I wrapped some shells in Saran Wrap, soaked the slide in warm water for a few seconds and then inserted the wrapped shells into the loops. After a couple days, the loops stretched enough so that the (then unwrapped) shells slide in and out easily. A very affordable and usefull slide for cowboy action shooting."

Adapted easily for Cowboy Action,

"Workmanship quite good, far better than their (dreadful) holsters. Leather very oily, though, and loops far too tight as received.
Made some shotshell-length 27/32" hardwood dowels with slightly tapered ends and forced them into the loops for a week. The wood soaked up the excess oil and stretched the loops nicely, also reshaping the backing. (If you can't get that size of dowel, use 13/16" or wrap masking tape around some 3/4" dowel. 10-gauge shells might also work, but we didn't have any to try.) We drilled small holes and ran a single thong through near the bottom at the level of the lower stamped groove, knotted at the ends, to prevent shells from falling through and present them at the desired height for easy grabbing.
A quick spray with silicone inside the loops got rid of the tendency of shells to stick on the leather when grabbed two at a time.
The slide now dispenses shells smoothly and well. It tightens up slowly over time, but a short session with the "wooden shells" quickly loosens it up again. For hunting use, just use a smaller dowel to adjust the loop size.
We bought another company's slide (similar in price) from Cabela's too, for testing, but prefer this one and will order at least one more. After the simple customizing above, it's as good as units costing four to five times as much."

"It is a little extra oily, so watch what it touches. The leather seams soft and it holds the shells great, I got the 12 Ga. but use 16Ga. shells in it for hunting and Cowboy action shooting. I will be buying another one."

"Slide is made well with individual holder for each shell, which I prefer to some that you have to press two shells into one loop. Only drawback is that it's a little tight for rapid withdrawal of shells in competition at first. It has loosened some with use."

"The Oklahoma Leather shotgun shell slide is well made and is wide enough to fit all of my pistol belts, even the 3 inch wide belt. I like to wear the slide in front between my holsters and it is wide enough to cover the belt buckle. The shells ride high for easy acces for reloading."
