Good Stuff!,
November 4, 2009
By kmess

"Tried Jim Shockeys Pellets and couldnt get better than a 6 inch group at 100 yards. Started shooting 777 and had my scope sighted in after 4 shots. I was getting less than 1 inch groups at 100 yards. With 3 777 pellets and a 250 gr hornady sst low drag sabot the reticle in the leupold ultimate slam 3-9 works just as its suposed to on my encore endeavor. I didnt shoot past 200 yards yet but the 150 and 200 mark were right on. Im real happy with that setup. Swabbing the barrel after each shot helps with accuracy at the range."

"I've been using these in both my guns. a T/C and a CVA. Have yet to have a miss fire. Clean up is very easy just water. Best of all no rotten egg smell! Had a buddy weigh the pellets right out of the box, all were within 2 grain of each other nothing over 51 and nothing under 49 very consistent."

Best powder to use,
October 19, 2009
By noman21

"I've used the Triple 7 pre-formed pellets for a few years and can say that they have worked pretty well. I tipically use 80 to 130gr charges, which is plenty for anything in North America. They are clean and do not cause the barrel to rust like alot of other kinds of powders. I would highly recommend to any inline muzzleloading hunter."

"2" group at 100 yds with 100gr load, cleaning between shots using TC 250 gr superglide sabots. Clean up afterward was easy. I tried to load a 2nd shot without cleaning barrel, absolutely could not load sabot to proper depth. Sabot got stuck 2" from load point. Had to leave shooting range."

Not Impressed,
October 7, 2009
By Mark415

"I have using Pyrodex pellets for years, last trip to the range I bought a 24 pack of Triple 7 50/50 pellets. I fired 12 shots from my T/C Triumph, swabbing in between shots every time. I didn't notice any difference, other than they don't stink as bad as Pyrodex. Same amount of fouling, same amount of time cleaning. I see no advantage to paying more for these."

"I was shooting groups of 3 inches at 100 yards with the T/C Shockwave .50/250 gr and 100 grains of powder (2 pellets). Cleaned barrel after every third shot just to play it safe, but probably could have fired 10 shots between cleans considering what I saw on the cleaning patches."

great accuracy not so great cleanup,
July 24, 2009
By youngoilguy

"i tried this powder and was very happy with ease of loading and consistency. the projectiles fired were accurate and consistent. however, the one setback is the cleanup. water does remove the majority of the fouling, but when you push a patch through it comes out black everytime. i found the jim shockey's gold was just as consistent and much eastier to clean."

great powder if you use the right primers,
January 27, 2009
By jstew28

"Works great with the winchester clean bore primer. I got 4 shots in one morning with no problem. I killed all 4 deer. This powder shoots just as accurate at one shot or 10. that is the most I can shoot with out cleaning. I shoot a cva kodiak with a stainless barrel that might make a difference too."

Needed cleaning after every shot - unable to load,
January 9, 2009
By IceColdShooter
from Minnesota

"I can't believe some of these 5* reviews from guys who say they must clean after every shot.
If you can't take a second shot why is that a 5? In the field, if you need a follow up shot and can't, this is a problem. It is not practical to keep a bottle of water and cleaning patches in my deer stand so that I can take a second shot.
I used these pellets with TC Fusion 209's. I was unable to get a second shot without a thorough cleaning. I'm talking multiple patches. Heck I could not even get the first patch down without a hard scrubbing motion. Even then, sometimes it took three patches just to reach the breach. 35 shots 1 full bag of patches.
These pellets may work fine with different primers. I see that guns suggest this product only when using Winchester 209's.
OK, my bad for not using a different primer.
This product may have rated higher with a different primer like the Winchester."

Just one thing to remember,
December 25, 2008
By 1776Flintlock1776

"When you look at the pellets one side is shiny and blacker than the rest of the pellet. That is the side to go in your barrel so it faces the primer. If you do the reverse I found it can mis-fire. I am not sure what the black coating stuff is but once you make sure to drop each pellet in this way you won't have mis-fires. I like the pellets it is easier and very easy. I have the Leupold Ultimate Slam and have the reticle set for a 2 pellet (100 grain losd) shooting a 245 grain sabot. Good to go!"

"I must say I am open to trying new things so when I bought my new Optima I decided to try these pellets rather then the Pyrodex. This was way dirtier then Pyrodex after just 2 rounds. After shooting about half the box I tossed them aside and went back to the Pyrodex and am a much happier shooter."

Triple Se7en pellets are fantastic,
October 16, 2008
By srt5
from Cambridge, MN

"I ran 10 shots through my CVA tonight sighting it in from 25 to 100 yds. I ran a patch between shots and the sabots fell right in behind the pellets with no trouble. I heard guys say that there was alot of fouling left over, but a clean barrel in 30 seconds is worth an easy load on the next shot."

Easy to clean!!!,

By Smokes

"I have used pyrodex in the past with my patch and ball gun but now with the Triumph that I just bought I wanted to go with something simpler and quicker then measured powder. I am so glad the sales associate pointed it out. I have shot over fifty rounds now and gun cleans with patch and water. I have also used windex with ammonia d with great success."
