"I prefer the powder over the pellets. This is my go to brand. Consistent velocity and accuracy you won't complain about. I've never had a misfire with the triple 7 / CCI primer combo, even in some pretty harsh weather. Bottom line, it's reliable."

"I had been reading the reviews on 777 and decided to try it because of the velocity claims. I've been disappointed with the velocity performance of the American Pioneer powder as well as the grain size/variation. My chrono tests showed me that the high velocities this product is claiming are true! Using a Pedersoli Rocky Mtn Hawkin in .54 cal shooting 100 gr of FFg with a 310 gr Buffalo Ball-et, 777 attained an average 1862 fps compared to 1015 with American Pioneer. Only drawback to AP is 777 fouls the barrel much faster requiring swabbing at least every 3 shots. But all the other pluses, and especially the amazingly significant performance difference, make 777 a superior product. If you're worried about paying more, by dropping the 777 load to 80 grains, I still achieved 1735 fps, so I think you can use less 777 powder to make up for the increased cost of a pound and still get better velocities."

"I have used TRiple Seven powder for several years and I much prefer it to any other brand. I do use 105 grains of the FFFg grade in my TC Encore pushing 260 gr Hornday muzzloader bullets with superb results. And the clean up is a breeze."

"I shoot this through a .32 caliber percussion "squirrel" rifle. This particular rifle likes Pyrodex more from an accuracy point of view although the difference isn't much. The real power of this powder is in the cleaning. This stuff cleans so easily it is simply amazing. Remove the nipple and bolster screw, clean the bolster with a swab and water, wet-patch the bore using water until the patch comes out clean (5-8 patches), patch again using an oil-soaked patch, swab the bolster with oil, wipe down the nipple and install screw and nipple. The entire cleaning takes perhaps six or seven minutes plus whatever attention to the exterior you desire to perform. I use Bore Butter rather than oil to treat the bore and have had zero rust anywhere on the rifle. Haven't tried it in my pistols yet but I fully expect the cleaning to be much less time consuming. Overall a great product."

"TripleSeven is a true innovation in modern muzzleloading: reliable ignition, reproducible performance, and eazy water clean-up after you are done shooting. Forget all the expensive bore gels and solvents you need for traditional blackpowder. TripleSeven really does completely clean with only warm tap water. After zeroing my scope at the range, my barrel was clean after about six water dampened patches. Follow that with a couple of isopropanol dampened patches and an oil moistened patch and you are done. No more soaking your barrel and using expensive bore cleaners. Excellent product."

"I was absolutely thrilled with this powder. It did not clog up my barrel after multiple uses like black powder does. I found it to have extremely consistent accuracy results and therefore it has created a great self confidence in my ability to hit my target. I harvested a 7pt bull elk with one shot at 75 yards with this Triple Se7en and a cow elk the following year at 50 yards. Muzzleloaders only get one shot so use a powder that will not fail you when you are faced with a shot of your lifetime."
