"Two 50 grain pellets dropped down the bore gives good accuracy and velocity from my bolt action CVA. Cleans up quick afterward with hot soapy water. These pellets make reloading much faster than using loose powder."

"I've been using pyrodex pellets for 7 or 8 years and have harvested 7 or 8 mule deer. I recently drew a premium Elk tag and considered switching to some of the new stuff that is on the market that I have been reading about. I spoke to a black powder expert who recommended that I stick with Pyrodex pellets for a number of different reasons. He also recomended that I use two pellets instead of three. I improved my 100 yard groups from 6 inch groups to 3 inch groups by using two pellets instead of three. My only concern was the power I was losing and would two pellets be enough to bring down an Elk? He assured me that two pellets was plenty, but recommend that I shoot a heavier bullet for Elk. I switched from the Barnes 250 grain to the Barnes 290 grain. Long story short, I shot a very big bull at 100 yards a couple of weeks ago using two pyrodex pellets and a 290 grain Barnes sabot. He went 15 yards and died quickly. The slug entered right where I aimed behind the front shoulder. It went through both lungs, the ribs on the other side and lodged in the hide behind the other front shoulder. I'm sticking with pyrodex pellets and barnes bullets. They are accurate, powerful, and do the job well. I just wish pyrodex wasn't so dirty, but I'm not going to complain too much."

"the pellets were easy to handle, in good shape, accuracy was spot on, and the dark primer side helps keep them oriented the right way. Nothing fancy, but the plastic case is padded, slotted and snap shut tight. I'll buy it again."

"I have owned my muzzle gun for 3 years and use pyrodex pellets,I shoot 150 gr,with 295 grain bullet.I shot 2 deer in 3 years and what a load and what confidence I now have in this product and this weapon.I shot a deer at 160 yrds and I aimed 3 inches high and thats where it hit.I was shocked at this product and gun,very much like a centerfire,well worth the clean up.I was looking at other powder for an easy clean up however after reading the reviews,I'll stick to what I have,don't fix what isn't broken."

"Excellent product! Very little residue as compared to other brands.
No 'click' among those I have used! They fire so quickly it is hard to tell them from center-fire cartridges!
Two pellets make for consistent shooting and grouping at the 50 yard range with plenty of legs to reach out and touch even further!
Although my rifle is rated for a maximum load of three pellets, I think that the two pellet load is quite sufficient for anything that I will be hunting here locally!"

"While hunting this year i was in a stand and shot at a deer that i judged to be 150yds away. I missed and beause of the 50 grain pellets it was real easy to reload and get that second shot. She ran 15yds then fell over. A+++++++++++"

"New to muzzle loading this year (inline US-made 0.50, #11 exposed caps, 310 gr sabots, 2x50 Pyrodex) I have found the Pyrodex pellets to be very handy and reasonably accurate. Drawbacks: 1) they are about double the cost per round of loose powder, the 30 grain pellets even more (did the math using a 100 grain basis); 2) storage, not sure how well the handy little plastic box seals out moisture; 3) they do not offer a tight seal against the sabot for using a CO2 unloader (go figure, pellets are a loose fit and have a hole in the middle). Bottom line for me; they work well and the cost is ok, but I plan on trying Pyrodex RS for comparison on the range (presuming my shooting is good enough to tell any difference). Happy trails!"

"I am very pleased with this product. I have never had any problems with this powder in the past. For some reason I went and decided to try a "New" powder that is out on the market the stuff that comes in the "stick" powder form. What a mistake. If you are currently using Pyrodex stay with it. Dont make the same mistake a did. I have tried shooting a lot of different powders with a lot of different grain bullets. I think I have finally found a good combonation. I am shooting a 245 graing bullet with 2 - 50/50 Pyrodex pellets and have been hitting pretty good at 100 yards. It seems to be a good combo for me. Any way, after all of the time and money I put in I thought it would be worth sharing. Bob...."
