"I had not shot my Knight in almost 10 years due to an accident I had. I messed my shoulder up and now I am ready to try muzzle loader hunting again. Needed the kit so I could use the Tripple 7 pellets and 209 primers. Got everything sighted in and ready for the start of the season. Works good and no misfires so far. Now all I need is a large deer to make it worth while."

"If you really want or need to use 209 primers on your old Knight, this conversion is quick and easy to install. I have been shooting 777 pellets with absolutly no miss or hang fires. The down side is that the primer jackets are difficult to get on and off the breech plug nipple and shooting produces alot of crud on scopes and receivers."

"I first bought the caps because they were the only thing I could find to convert my knight muzzel loader to 209s. when I first got them, I hated them because they were a pain to get in. Then I looked at a catalog with them in it and figured out I was putting them in backwards. Now I love them. I went hunting in the pouring rain for two days and on the night of the second day I shot a buck with no mis-fire at all."

"Although I had to contact both Cabela's and Knight Rifles customer service to make sure I was ordering the proper kit due to the age of my M/L, it was worth the effort! If you have one of the pre 1995 rifles like mine, the difference is, the original 54 cals had a 54cal barrel but a 50cal breech. Installation was extremely easy once I finally managed to get the original breech plug out. The gun shoots like a champ now, and I don't have to worry about those stinkin' little caps not firing! The discs are a little difficult to get the cap into at first, but I found that by putting the cap in and turning it upside down on the table to push made it easy to get them to go in. They are also a little hard to get on the breech plug when they are new, but you definitely get a good seal once it's on! All in all, they are no bigger a pain than the stinkin' little caps. Well worth the cost of the kit and learning the little tricks!!!!!"

"I decided to try the conversion kit after my #11 cap had gotten damp and I mis-fired on a nice buck in the 2007 Ohio gun season. I had the kit installed for muzzleloader season and ended up with a much bigger buck (while hunting in the rain). Now I'm sure that my accuracy will increase because I won't be doubting what is going to happen when I squeeze the trigger the next time. I highly recommend this to anyone having mis-fire problems. Note: I was concerned with the plastic holders when debating the purchase but found they are really simple to use."

"I didnt think that you could make a Knight Rifle better but this conversion kit did just that and more!! No more messing with those tiny caps and just for a test I loaded my Knight with only the sabot and NO POWDER and the conversion kit cap went off and the cap alone had enough power to push the bullet out of the barrel and approx 10' Worth every Penny!!!!"

"I purchased two Knight 209 primer conversion kits for two Knight rifles: an MK85 .45 caliber and a Wolverine Stainless .50 caliber. Everything needed to convert, service, and fire 209 shotshell primers were included in the kit (other than primers, powder, and slugs) and the installation directions were clear and easy to follow. Seriously, anyone could perform the conversion in minutes. The performance of inline muzzleloaders are greatly improved by using the 209 primers IMO. You'll have much hotter and quicker ignition which should result in more consistent bullet performance and accuracy. Switching from the #11 percussion caps to the 209 primer is a "no-brainer". Do it and Cabelas will get the kit to you quickly."

"The changeover was very simple in my Wolverine and the results were astonishing. No more "snap----------BOOM!". Sat in the rain for hours my second day with it, and when the opportunity presented itself, it delivered. I took it back to camp and shot a group in the rain just for curiosity, and it was like shooting a totally different muzzleloader. No more delays and no more taking the breech plug out just to get my wet pellets out because they will not ignite. I would definitely recommend this product."

"This product provided a noticeable improvement in my black powder rifle. I am very pleased with the performance of the product, and its quality of craftsmanship and fit. My only issue is in the packaging of the product--there were no real instructions. I know that does not sound right coming from a man. However, when I am packing a 150 grains of Pyrodex in front of a breech plug and a bolt, I would like the warm fuzzy associated with knowing I did it right. Don't get me wrong, it is a very simple procedure, and I did get it right, but a little set of instructions with a picture would have made that first shot a little more comfortable. Take a kid hunting."

"i got my knight about 5 years ago i beleave. my gun came with the kit and i still havent had one thing go wrong with it. i dont half to worry about my gun getting wet. ive droped it in a river while crossing during deer season and the gun still fired. i cant think of another gun that could do that. i didnt like the jackets at first but now i do b\c no water can get in the way of the ignition."
