"I shot quite a few of these through my RWS panther but couldn't get them to group well at all. That doesn't mean there's anything wrong with them, they just don't shoot well in my particular gun. The quality of the individual pellets seems to be quite good in fact. And I'm shooting a new gun. Maybe with some break-in it will shoot them well eventually."

"I purchased 5 different brands and different types of pellets for my new 1000 fps air rifle. Some for hunting and some for target practice. The RWS Field Point was the most accurate and tightest group of the bunch, under 1/2" at 30 yards. I have more testing and shooting to do but I am very pleased with these pellets."

Excellent Groundhog Killer,

"I can't understand how these pellets got any bad reviews. After sighting in my scope using these pellets out of my Gamo Whisper .22 I found them to be very accurate. I was also able to kill 3 groundhogs with one shot each. I had tried hollow points on another groundhog previously but ended up having to shoot him 5 times to make him disappear. That's when I opted for these pointed pellets, figuring that I needed more penetration for a varmint as tough as a groundhog and I was right as these got the job done for the next 3 critters."

"I have a gamo whisper and I use RWS super dome and are really accurate but these are ok I can hold a 3/4 inch group at 20 yards. But every once in a while I'll get an "off" shot, so these are good for normal hunting but nothing fancy."

"Just like with your regular gun, to maximize performance you need to match the gun and ammo. I have an RWS Model 34 that I can touch holes at 25 yards. It may not sound like much but it sure puts the fear in the squirrels around here. They have stopped running through the trees and now come down and run on the ground directly away from me when I have my gun out. Get the RWS field point if you have an RWS gun. You won't be disappointed."

"I purchased the RWS Model 48 air rifle and used these pellets. After I sighted the rifle in, I let my 14 yr old daughter shoot and she hit a penny sized bullseye at 20 yds 9 out of 10 times. I was definitely impressed with the accuracy. Especially for an air rifle. It is the combination of the rifle and pellet that get Excellent Results everytime. It was worth every penny spent."

Poor Accuracy,

"I shot these pellets through a GAMO air rifle w/scope and got poor accuracy results. I was using a bench rest and gun vise and the best 5 shot groups were about 12 inches....yes that's right 12 inches at 25 yards. I will admit that I don't know if it is the gun or pellets that is causing the problem. This is my first adult air rifle and I don't know if 12" groups are acceptable for this type of rifle. I have not shot any other type of pellet yet, but I know that this lack of accuracy is not accpetable for hunting varmits and squirrels. I get 1/2" groups out of a 22 cal. rifle with the same scope set up."
