Statement of product,February 28, 2008

"I ordered these cleaning pellets because Cabelas stated that you simply fire a few through you air gun and the bore is cleaned. When I received them, the literature from RWS states that is the last and least effective method of using them. They recommend "slowly pushing or pulling the pellets from the breach up the barrel". Shooting them should only be done if your gun doesn't allow access to the breach and if you shoot them you should use two as damage to the gun could result. I have an FX Cyclone .22cal rifle with match grade barrel and I don't think I will use these cleaning pellets. I have rated the product as poor but this is not a fair rating as they may work great in certain guns. My review is to make clear that what the advertising suggests and what the manufacturer states are two totally different things."

Not what I thought it was,November 19, 2007
By ToolMan2from Clinton Twp., Michigan
"The instructions specifically say that the product was intended not to be shot through the barrel but used in conjunction with a tool for pushing it through and only if the design of the rifle doesn't permit that should you shoot two through at the same time. I found that with my RWS 48 when I did that it seemed as if I was dry firing it, so I haven't used them since."

Good cleaning wad,June 17, 2007
By jrborenfrom Livingston, Montana
"I have shot just ONE of these cleaning wads or pellets through my new RWS model 48 .22 caliber air rifle. I did this whenever I was mounting the scope and getting familiar with this particular rifle. I recovered the cleaning pellet from a cardboard box just to have a look at it. I definitely WOULD NOT recommend using these "cleaning pellets" inside of your house (whatever) because a person might think that they are SAFE compared to a regular stardard lead pellet. These RWS cleaning pellets or wads do just what RWS claims that they do. You need only fire a few of these cleaning pellets through your air rifle per 1,000 shots. These cleaning pellets work quite well for their intended purposes :-O)"

RWS cleaning pellets,April 16, 2007
By mr1220
"Great product, a little pricey, but does the job. I would like to see a larger "economy" size container made available. I do a lot of target shooting and I notice a difference in the accuracy after using just 3 cleaning pellets. Of course the cleaning pellets should not take the place of good maintenance of any firearm."

Effective and Well Made - Highly Recommended,April 2, 2007
By RobertMfrom Sonora, CA
"These cleaning pellets are well made, dense and a good, tight fit in my air rifle barrel. Make sure you place a lead pellet in behind the cleaning pellet before you fire because you need sufficient resistance/pressure in the airgun barrel to prevent permanent damage. Shooting with only the cleaning pellet is like dry firing your airgun, which is a very bad idea."
