"This is a very good shotshell box. The hing is folding plastic, but it hasn't broken yet. The box is not waterproof, though it will keep water out to some degree. It is a good deal for the price at Cabela's."

Tight for 10 ga,

"I use these for 10ga, 3 1/2 in mag loads. The holes are a little tight, you have to pull to get the shells out. I would not use these for trying to reload in a hurry, however they are well built for the price and there are not alot of other choices for the 10."

"The 12-gauge shell box is great. Latch on the 20-gauge box was so tight that my 11-year-old (who shoots the .20) could not open it. I tried to loosen it a bit and it snapped off. Now it is secured with a bunji cord. I would take it back if the closest Cabela's was less than two hours away."

"I use these shotshell boxes for holding black powder loads for my competing in the North-South Skirmish Association. I needed something that would hold a .58 Cal ball and tube. These shotshell boxes work very well. They fit in a haversack, backpack, or a small range box and protect the loads quite nicely before bringing them to the firing line in a cartridge box. A very useful addition to my storage and transportation problem."
