"The Tumbler works great and the solid lid prevents dust common with other tumblers. The polish is good with the corncob for polishing cases. I did also buy some walnut hulls for extra dirty cleaning."

"I ordered this tumbler kit, and when it arrived, I immediately, set it up to start cleaning. The corncob is a fine polish, but it takes too long for me. I bought some "Lizzard Litter" which is crushed walnut, and this works faster than the 'cob'. You can buy this walnut media at the larger pet stores. ( It comes out to less than $1.00 per pound, compared to the walnut media from the gun stores ). I used 3 capfulls of 'Brasso' in with the walnut media, and this works great for me! The cleaner that comes with the kit is OK, but I want speed ! This tumbler is not noisy at all! It is just as quiet as some of the more expensive units, and works just as well. I would buy another one in a heartbeat ! Very well constructed. I will probably purchase another one just for 'moly coating' bullets, in the future. I highly recommend this kit for professionals, or amateurs alike."

"I did a lot of research and settled on Cabel's case tumbler kit. This is a great value. The tumbler bowl is bigger than I expected. It more than handles my average load of 200 pistol or 100 - 270 rifle cases. The clear lid is great to see thru and the large plastic screw-on handle is very user friendly. The corn cob media included in the kit is more than I expected and should last my needs for quite awhile. I have only used Flitz polish/cleaner based on another review (works great), and it took 1.5 hour for a full load of cases to come out looking like new. Some of the cases in this first load were quite dirty/tarnished. It did a great job on pistol case primer pockets but not as well on the bottle neck primer pockets. Really not an issue for me as I clean each primer pocket anyway. Overall I was VERY pleased. I have not used Cabela's polish yet. I like the on/off switch on the power cord. I was really surprised at how quiet this tumbler was. It does not creep on my bench when running. I initially had a problem with static of the corncob media in the tumbler bowl and Cabela's rotary media sifter. Stuck to the bowl, lid, and inside the sifter. Made a mess the first time. My wife recommended a few sprays of static guard from the laundry room inside of both and that solved that."

"Finally. A kit that doesn't need "something else" to get ya going. Some people reported theirs died after the 1st day. I guess there is a low failure rate as is to be expected of machinery. But I have to say, mine runs like a champ. Enough media for 5000 (or more) pieces of brass. Very nice bottle of polish that will go a long way. The sifter does it's job. Had this included a tumbler (to separate the media and the brass after it's cleaned and polished), I would have given this 6 outta 5 stars. For the price and what you get it is a 5 star deal.

"I got the 400 tumbler kit a week ago. I had several hundred .243 & .270 brass which I had reloaded 3-5 times apiece and by now were getting pretty grungy. I broke them down into batches of about 150 and followed the directions for getting started. In 2-3 hours they were done, and were NICER than the brand new NEVER FIRED brass I have on hand. The unit is quiet, stays put, and very reasonably priced. You won't find a better case tumbler, and with a 3 year warranty, it is definitely a great buy."

"I found a 25 years old stach of 308 cases in my garage, they were from dark brown to greenish. I was about to throw them away when I noticed and bought this Cabela's tumbler kit. In 4 batches the 900 cases came out as factory new. I could not believe that the old cases could be so shiny once they were tumbled. What else can you expect from a Cabela's product. "I'm no stranger to vibritory deburring. Ran several diferent ones in the aircraft industry. Some of the reviews I read, about leaving brass running all night made cold chills run up my spine. If you have to leave it that long, it probably isn't worth reloading or you are using the wrong polishing media or both. I admit I was skeptical about the quality vs the price at first but relaxed after my first load of shiny brss came out of the machine. I use ground walnut hulls for media. (Reptile bedding purchased at the pet store. 1/2 the price of case polishing media) Comes right out of 22-250 cases. Doesn't even stick in the primer cup. Used the Cabela"s polish that came with the kit. Excellent results in two hours! Longest time my machine has run is three hours, on some nasty 45ACP brass my son picked up at the range. Cleaned several thousand rounds so far without a hitch! From my personal experience; Don't overload the machine. Make sure it has enough room to circulate properly. Use media appropriate for the job. Corncob shines and polishes, but lacks the abrasive qualities to clean very tarnished brass. Hope my rambling on helps someone!"
