"The bullet puller arrived on time and fast. the instructions on how to set up and use the puller are a little bit vague., at least to me any way.. but after some messing with the puller it all worked out, and it worked great and fast. If you need to pull a lot of bullets this is the puller for you.
I found in the set up of the puller after you put in the proper collet and set up the cam and die in your press that all you have to do is put the bullet in the shell holder of your press hold the red handle up straight on the puller and lower the handle on your press as the bullet goes up in the collet it will inter the collet and move the red handle at that point put light to medium pressure on the red handle and and then pull your press handle back up it should hold on to the bullet if it does not then repeat steps and add just a little more pressure on the cam lock bullet puller handle."

"Hornady's bullet puller is expensive when you add all of the collets needed for the various calibers for which you might be reloading. However, once set up (I have the Lock n Load system) you can remove bullets without any damage, recover the powder easily, and rework the cartridge quite easily. If you have a group of cartridges requiring rework, you cannot beat this system for speed and efficiency. All components involved are of the highest quality and I cannot conceive of a better system once the puller and collet are set up. On the other hand, one-off bullet removals might be "easier" and cheaper with the hammer type impact bullet removers."

"I find this tool very usefull when there is a batch of rounds that need to be pulled. However, setting up makes it less pratical than a hammer type for pulling just one or two rounds. Care should be taken not to over tighten the cam so as to limit the damage done to the removed projectile, and if it's too lose it can grab the case neck instead of the bullet. Like all things in reloading a little care goes a long way.

"The bullet puller worked fine, no problem. The only complaint I have is the collet. If it grabs just a small part of the brass, it is likely to break or chip. The metal is too brittle. I think it should be made stronger, like stainless steel. Otherwise, take time to carefully measure the distance and not to touch the brass and it works just great."

"Work well, but are overpriced. I had used an inertia puller for many years with good success prior to purchasing the Hornady Cam-Lock. The inertia puller would not handle magnum-sized cartridges, and I purchased the Cam-Lock. Works great, but in normal cartridges will continue the inertia type because of the collet price."
