"Good choice for those of us who don't need to haul long pieces of lumber on a regular basis. By having the extend a hitch I don't have to invest in a trailer or a lumber rack. I use it once a month and it has been a good investment."

"I use this product to haul long pieces of metal for a roofing crew. It works great!!! It has easily paid for itself already. Even though it is rated to 350 lbs, we have overloaded it to many times that amount and not had any trouble at all. It has withstood great abuse and performed wonderfully!!! The fact that it can be stowed so easily is another great plus. It stays conveniently behind the back seat of the pickup when not in use and is easy to get out and install. I would definitely recommend this to anyone I talk to. An incredibly great value for the money. You will not be disappointed!!"

"Heavy duty and easy to use. My 14 foot Old Town fits right in the bed of my Honda Ridgeline. Easy for a 65 year-old to load by myself. A little foam tape on the cross piece protects the gunwales of the canoe. Transports canoe easily right side up or upside down. I put a lock on it so it doesn't get stolen at the boat landing while I'm on the water. Little red flag is handy. I also use it to haul lumber."

"I ordered two of these units for my UTV Prowler to carry my canoe or boat. One to go into the front receiver and one for the back.
I found that the short end was too short to go into the front and rear receivers and be secured by the pins.
I carried it to a local welding shop and had them extended by 6 inches and it now works perfectly. It also works with my pickup the same as before I had them extended.
Good product."

"I am a 44 year old mother and this is very easy to use for us. My 13 year old son connects the extend a hitch to our truck, we can easily load the canoe, tie down and go. With my back problems, I was having trouble getting the canoe on our ladder rack. This was an excellent decision."

"Extend-A-Hitch works for what I need it for. I have a 16' Old Town canoe and makes hauling it a breeze. It fits fine in the receiver of a Dodge Ram 1500 with minimal play. It made it much easier than some of the other ways I have had to haul it. I would recommend this to anyone that is hauling things longer than their truck bed."

"I use the extend-A-truck hitch to carry a 17' canoe in a truck with a 6'-6" bed. The extend-A-truck hitch provided support for the canoe 11'-4" from the front of the bed. It also has tie down brackets that made tying the canoe down easy. Great product that does the job."

"We bought an 18' canoe from someone that restored it and had no Idea how we were going to get it on our Ford Explorer.
We had to purchase a reciever adapter for it to fit our 1 1/2 " reciever. It was awfully wobbley with alot of play. We attached ratcheting tie downs from the tie down hooks on the Extent-a-truck to the roof rack on the truck & it eliminated almost all of the play. It is just what we needed to be able to carry such a long canoe on top of our SUV. Sturdy construction. I love it!"

"excellent gizmo for hauling around a 17 feet canoe or lumber...easily installs ...very simple yet effective design...I used it both as an extension for the canoe (red flag required and supplied) as well as reversing the posts to allow the canoe to rest on roof racks with the body of the canoe elevated.
Only minor complaint is that the post does not have a more secure fit in the receiver of the hitch (needs about 1/8 of an inch more width). Strongly recommend a lock on the pin as I personally do not trust the small pin-clamps provided to secure the post to the hitch.
A good buy with many versitale uses."
