"I am on search and rescue and needed something to hook up my 4 wheeler fast. This works very well. The only thing I didn't really like was it says it swings away fast. There's nothing that swings away but it is pretty fast to put on and take off."

"Would run the bolts all the way through the channel iron...to feel more secure on long trips.Ive made three trips with it and have no complaints what so ever,
The only other thing is its very heavy to assemble...would pay the extra for this to be made out of high grade aluminum.

"I really like this product. I have only used it a couple times now but it is nice to know that my 4wheeler is not going to come through my back window. I went across some pretty rough roads with it on back and it did not move. I have already told and shown many people this and they all thought it was a great idea and product and I am sure some will buy one. Thanks"

"The first time i used the guard dog was on a trip to the San Rafeal's in Utah. The road to get where the parking area is there is a heck of a rut.When I hit it I thought for sure it would have knocked my atv loose. To my surprise it didn't move.

"Just recently purchased my guard dog and it lived up to it's name. About a week later someone tried stealing my ATV from my truck, after they loosened all the nuts and handle on my guard dog they finally realized there was absolutely no way they were going to succeed and they gave up!"

"I bought this as a Christmas gift for my hunsband and he loves it. He hunts a few times a week and is always loading and unloading his 4-wheeler. He said it is easy to take on and off and he no longer worries about the 4-wheeler bouncying around and knocking out his back glass."

"No more being the last one in the group to get my 4-wheeler unloaded or loaded.No more messing with straps in hard to get at places. No more worrying about your straps breaking in rough terrain.This thing is great!!!!
Easy to assemble,very sturdy,so easy to use,and very secure.From the time I stop my truck it takes less than 5 minutes till my machine is unloaded and ready to go.The same with loading.
I love it."

Great Idea, Needs Improvement,

"I like the idea of the product, however, it needs some improvement. The set screws (at least in my case) simply don't work. They strip out and don't hold. The steel seems very soft as well.
To improve on the product I drilled holes through the assembly where I needed them and put grade 8 bolts and lock nuts all the way through them. This made everything hold together much better. I use this product-- and my four wheeler-- almost every day for work and probably punish it much more than most people would for recreation or hunting. I love the setup and its far better than straps but if you use it all the time, it'll simply wear out...very quickly I might add. A few simple modifications and it should last a very long time!"

"This is a great product. It was easy to put up and take down. Unloading my ATV was a snap. I didn't have to crawl around the bed of the truck trying to undo straps. Everyone in my hunting party really liked it. I have a couple of friends who will buy one."

"The Louisiana Guard Dog is the best and safest way to carry an ATV in the back of a pickup truck. There is no way the ATV can shift around as one does with straps. Also, the ATV can be secured by use of receiver locks."
